Ok Jaanu Day 2 (Saturday) Box Office Collections

‘Ok Jaanu’ continued its struggle on Day 2 at the box office, with the film not showing the kind of growth it needed to do well in the long run. The start on Friday was disappointing to say the least, because it was the first major release of the year and the on-screen pair of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor were returning after ‘Aashiqui 2’. The music had done pretty well too.

Unfortunately, it did not convert into ticket sales and the lack of growth on Saturday has pretty much sealed its fate. The competition from the holdover release ‘Dangal’ and this week’s Hollywood film ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ has meant the audience has plenty of choices. The promos of ‘Ok Jaanu’ failed to create any kind of curiosity or excitement and content hasn’t found appreciation either.

IndicineLBO: We expect ‘Ok Jaanu’ to wrap with lifetime business of Rs 26 crore. If it does fall in this range, the film will be the first theatrical flop of 2017.
