There were rumours earlier this week that Anushka Sharma is the leading contender to romance Salman Khan in Yash Raj Films’ Sultan.
However, the actress has rubbished reports, saying she hasn’t even spoken to the ‘rumoured’ director of the film Ali Abbas Zafar ( director of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Gunday) “I have still not been approached for YRF’s Sultan. I have not even spoken to Ali Abbas Zafar about the film. I don’t know where these rumours started from” Anushka said.

Even though actresses are well-known to spread rumours through their PR machinery to indirectly pass the message to actors and productions houses, Anushka said she would love to work with Salman someday.
“Anybody would love to work with Salman. But as of now, I have three releases this year (NH 10, Bombay Velvet and Dil Dhadakne Do) and after that I will start shooting for Karan Johar’s film (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Ranbir Kapoor)”
While YRF hasn’t announced Sultan, there are reports that the Ali Abbas Zafar film will be Salman’s big release during Eid 2016. Next year, Eid-ul-fitr falls in the first week of July.
