Sridevi’s ‘MOM’ is likely to finish as an ‘average’ box office grosser, as the film has failed to hold strongly after a decent first week at the box office. Even if the trend is similar to the growth it showed on its first Saturday, the film will still struggle to cross the 40 crore mark from here.
There was hope that ‘MOM’ would follow the ‘Hindi Medium’ path, but that unfortunately hasn’t been the case, as competition from ‘Spiderman: Homecoming’ last week and ‘Jagga Jasoos’ this week has divided business. Also, given the genre and the star cast, the costs were on the higher side.
The lifetime collections will be lower than Sridevi’s 2012 film ‘English Vinglish’ which was a reasonably decent grosser for the year it released.

oh so sad mom was an excellent movie it deserved to earn atleast 50 crores
but happy since it didnt got flop tag even though it has received average verdict this film has won our hearts

Nowadays slowly scope for small films are becoming very less…as nobody wants to see them paying their hard earned money even if the story is good..except some like hindi medium pink or neerja…
Nevertheless indian audience have done fairly well this year. Slammed shitty movies . Appreciated deserved movies.

Why this much negativity..it’s really nice movie,and it has earned more this 25 cr till 2nd Friday,you have miscalculated 2cr,even Hindi medium opened on same level and earned 24 cr in first week.
Don’t give the reason of starcast,there is not any single star in film whose remuneration is costly.40 cr is safe target for such film and it will earn more that that…post my comment.
