Sridevi’s ‘MOM’ has collected Rs 2.75 crore (approx) on its opening day at the box office. The first day business is better than films like ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’, ‘Sarkar 3’ and in same range as ‘Hindi Medium’.
When compared to other ‘female-centric’ films, MOM has collected lesser than Anushka Sharma’s Phillauri (4.02 cr) and Vidya Balan’s Begum Jaan (3.94 cr).
The reports for the film are good, so it remains to be seen what sort of growth the film shows on Saturday. A film like ‘Hindi Medium’ which was carrying excellent word-of-mouth jumped by 50% on Saturday. If MOM manages to show similar growth, it could end with decent first week numbers.
The other Hindi release of the week ‘Guest In London’ was poor, collecting less than 1.5 crore on Day 1.

tubelight 21 crore on a Ramdan Friday when the muslim audience do not come to the theatre, cannot be called average. tubelight 21 crore could be average if it was on a holiday but when it was completely a Ramdhan Friday it is very unfair to declare it average.
It Speaks volume that a Salman Khan movie even on a non holiday Ramadan Friday is expected to earn more than 30 crore to get excellent opening and to get more than 35 crore to get bumper opening and to get 25 to get good opening status.and it shows that Salman Khan is a Megastar because these number expected even on non holiday from a Salman Khan movie.
yes raees first day collection is rightly called excellent because it clashed with a movie but one thing for sure the movie it clashed with kaabil opened in the level of of an art movie or Niche movie like Haider fitoor or even in the level of a female centric movie as kaabil collected only 8 crore so it was not like that arise clashed with a Dhoom 2 or krish or a bang bang.
tubelight on a completely non holiday 21 crore is called average. so I think above average would be 24 to 25 crore on non holiday and good opening would be 28 to 29 crore on non holiday.
and very good would be 32 crore on non holiday and excellent would be 35 crore non holiday and bumper would be 40 crore on a non holiday this is the expectation of mega star like Salman KhanKhan.
Mom is ok movie not good .
Hope it will pick uo today and multiply due to good word of Mouth… will watch it today with frnds and family asap. Sridevi jhi delivers another ENGLISH VINGLISH type perfomance. Congrats to team MOM

Saw MOM yesterday. It’s a brilliant thriller.
Wid such a disaster content which was completely rejected in the first show itself by audience and critics went to collect 21 cr that also on non holiday. Srk raaes was completely in different level dialogue trailer and teaser were different level whereas tubelight was rejected from the day when teaser was out. Megastar for a reason and one should not forget that tubelight cross 100cr jus 5 days. Hater sud know critics praise srk’s FAN but wat happened 65 cr lifetime haha. Now i understood why indicine called bhai as a megastar.

BTW Mom is excellent thriller and Sri Devi showed that she is unmatchable Talent. She is more then brilliant. Sajal Ali is next Alia Bhatt. If she got more chances. Hope movie will pick up big time.

Those who r busy in comparing #Raees with Tubelight, can they tell the Screen count of both films? Also why they r avoiding clash with Kaabil which gets better reviews & WOM. Comparing #Tubelight with #Raees is a big joke and showed the sick mentality of haters. Everyone is targeting Sir SRK for their Superstar why?
