Mohenjo Daro has posted shockingly low numbers on its opening day at the box office. The first day collections are lower than much smaller films like Udta Punjab and Baaghi.
The Friday numbers have pretty much decided the box office fate of the film. It would need growth of 40-50% on Saturday to have any chance of recovering costs, but even that looks unlikely now as the film has shown drops at a few single-screen centres and multiplex business in the morning was at around the same level as Friday.
It’s difficult to see where the film goes from here. With such low opening numbers, only a miracle can save it from becoming one of the biggest disappointments of Hrithik Roshan’s career.
Clash or not, there was simply no interest amongst the audience to watch Mohenjo Daro on the big screen. Films like Bombay Velvet, Mohenjo Daro and to a certain extent even FAN – prove that irrespective of how big a star is, they are not bigger than the films they appear in. If the choice of films isn’t good enough and the promos are unexciting, the audience can even reject a film from the makers of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
Will Mohenjo Daro beat the 63 crore total of the 8-year-old Jodhaa Akbar, which was banned in 3 major states? Even that remains uncertain at the moment.

CDI made 26 cr overseas. It was a clean hit not a Flop
And it didnt have a wide overseas release as well. It was released in very few multiplexes there
Plus: Veer Zaara was not an NRI movie, It was an ATBB overseas.
Same for Om Shanti Om. Even Fan is hit outside tho not BB
and for ur part yeah I agree SRK is weakening his fanbase and position now and will find it tough as he has no proper release date and script sense is missing.
In this phase I hope u Salmanics will support SRK not retalliate what Srkians did last decade becoj during Salmans bad phase social media was not popular for this and hardly any SRKians would bash him. Even u may want a compeitition, Tab Maja aaega. Compeition has been for last 24 years, and if SRK gets over at this point of stage, rivalry bandh, U may want SRKs downfall, but u may also want the compeition to go on.

By the way 26 cr overseas was what Salman acheived only with Wanted, doesnt mean that all his movies bfore that were flops there
CDI is a movie every Indians must cherish. Its impact was such that Indian Hockey Federation was suspended given its impact and inspired for 2008 games too. And ya I repeat it was a clean hit overseas with 26 cr
With srk going down a lot of other fanbases are taking panga with u people, u will never have that fun fighting with other fans as much as with srk fans. So somewhere even u wont want SRK to be over now, u will want a compeition, a kaate ki takkar
Also most number of consecutive clean hits belong to SRK-13. Fan is a clean hit overseas.
