Mohenjo Daro has posted shockingly low numbers on its opening day at the box office. The first day collections are lower than much smaller films like Udta Punjab and Baaghi.
The Friday numbers have pretty much decided the box office fate of the film. It would need growth of 40-50% on Saturday to have any chance of recovering costs, but even that looks unlikely now as the film has shown drops at a few single-screen centres and multiplex business in the morning was at around the same level as Friday.
It’s difficult to see where the film goes from here. With such low opening numbers, only a miracle can save it from becoming one of the biggest disappointments of Hrithik Roshan’s career.
Clash or not, there was simply no interest amongst the audience to watch Mohenjo Daro on the big screen. Films like Bombay Velvet, Mohenjo Daro and to a certain extent even FAN – prove that irrespective of how big a star is, they are not bigger than the films they appear in. If the choice of films isn’t good enough and the promos are unexciting, the audience can even reject a film from the makers of ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
Will Mohenjo Daro beat the 63 crore total of the 8-year-old Jodhaa Akbar, which was banned in 3 major states? Even that remains uncertain at the moment.

Comparing MD with Very good opener FAN? At least SRK gave a good opener while jadoo even failed in it ! Though I agree hrithik is On level of ranbir, but good comparison of Bombey velvet & MD (both stars r equally big)

Mohenjo daro is crap that all have known now. Rustam is also not good movie. Both are crap. This independence day crap vs crap.

Very disappointing. I hope HRo manages to sign the next movies of Zoya Akhtar and Kabir Khan. He already lost out on Thug, but these two can surely give him the boost he needs right now. All the best for Kaabil, but please don’t clash it with Raees, it’s suicide.

The opening has been extremely poor . Opening day collections less than Baaghi, Dishoom and UP is a serious setback . The opening of MD gives an idea about the role a trailer makes to create the buzz . If the trailer is appreciated than people make their mind to watch the movie on the first or the second day itself . The songs were good but such kind of music was definitely not for the masses . I still feel everything is not over but yes single digit opening day collections after 5 years is a severe problem . After Guzaarish MD is the only movie of HR that has taken a poor opening . Guzaarish was an offbeat movie so it was never expected to be a Box Office Monster . In terms of opening MD has been the biggest disappointment of Hrithik in this decade . Aftermath of MJ disaster now jadoo papa have a emergency meeting with krish and sanjay gupta first the kabil will be delayed to 14 April 2016 and jadoo papa will announce the new sequel of krish for 2018 release. director ashotosh will go for europe trip (spent all the extra money he made by fooling producer and Hr of VFX effect) and return after one year to find new bakara for his new project.

Terrific actor and he has now hot the trust of the audience back, loving his choice of movies since the past 2 years.
This has truly been his year.
People might find it stupid but for me Gabbar Is Back has been his best movie along with Holiday in recent times, Airlift was good but the former movies were a perfect package of action, drama, humour & satire. IMO Gabbar Is Back deserved alot more than what it got, if given a solo release today (the kind of form Akshay is in), it will easily become Akki’s highest domestic grosser.

Feel shame on some critics…. Watched Mohenjo Daro…. 4/5 Really good… If they didnt made compromise on graphics it could have been next Baahubali… Even though really good…. The climax huge thumbs up…… Mohenjo Daro Critical reviews are mixed to negative .. SURPRISED… …I think they were expecting more historic accuracies… . ( may be a documentary on Mohenjo Daro)
This film deserves to be a disaster.. most disappointing movie of Hrithik ever.. zero effort to create a good script.. basic story very similar to baahubali.. almost laughable CGI work considering the money and time taken for this project.. hrithik is earnest though.. the makers wasted two years on this.. and I wasted 2 and half hours warltching.. really sad and frustrated.. really wish kaabil donot disappoint..
