Here’s the first look poster of Pooja Hegde from Ashutosh Gowarikar’s upcoming film ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Pooja plays the role of Chaani the ‘Chosen One’.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, Mohenjo Daro belongs to the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC (more than 4600 years ago).
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on August 12.

The costume is so innovative and specially the crown . My excitement level for this movie has been increased after seeing the posters . This movie will show something new . This movie really needed an EDX release instead of a crap Sultan .
Akshay should really postpone Rustom . Rustom is a niche movie with limited audience and low budget . It will have same collections even if it is released solo in non holiday . Mohenjodaro should get a solo release because this movie has the chances of making wonders at the box office .

I see some self proclaimed archeologists here. What about 300, 300 rise of an empire, troy. Those movies were correct but mohenjodaro not. The most modernised civilsation in which drainage, wells in every house, streetlight, footpath, cooling floor, mass bathrooms, modern jewleries, hairstyle were present. So they can’t think of cloths then who does. So tell me who invented cloths.

Dear all, Ashutosh Gowariker has spent more than three years on studying about the lifestyles of people in the era of MohenjoDaro. So obviously I am expecting him to know more about that era than you guys. And MohenjoDaro is nothing, but a reflection of the director’s visions about that time, which is definitely praiseworthy!
And, from Evolutionary point of view, Art and designing developed about 18000 years ago and the movie is based on 5000 years back Indus valley civilization!
Rags were used for wearing during the time of Homo Habilis and it continued till the era of firstly adopted African Homo Sapians and the wearing style changed in a sequential and adoptive manner. During the Indus Valley, people were wearing designed clothes!
But, yes! Nobody knows how exactly the costumes were looking. The maker of the film has followed the paleontological evidence and the costumes of Pooja Hegde has been designed accordingly. And as she is playing the role of a high profiled girl(a beautiful dancer or a princess according to different sources), her costumes need to be specially designed. It is not just about being real, but imaginative too. we should keep that in mind.
As for my opinion, she is looking really stunning, seductive and beautiful. The crown part has been brilliantly done. Dress is fine and the standing pose should have been different!
I am happy to report that we are going to witness something like MohenjoDaro. Imaginations and creativity are rare in Bollywood. An honest, ambitious and brave project should always be appreciated!
