And if we compare India team of 2000s/2010s with the team of 1990s I feel the Indian team of 1990s was a much weaker team and Sachin primarily had to drag and carry the team single handedly at many occasions in ODIs. Pakistan with Wasim, Waqar, Inzimam, Yousuf and Shoaib Akhtar was a much stronger team then.
It was later under the captaincy of Gaurav and then Dhoni that India developed a strong team.
So overall Sachin had to shoulder much more burden than Kohli has to deal with today.

@Ank True..With every passing year the rules and pitches are also modified in favour of the batsmen.Gone are the days when scoring a half century on the bouncy wickets of WACA was considered to be an achievement.If you compare the current lot of bowlers with past greats then except Steyn nobody has the skills to be even be compared with them.Also the team looks more settled now than in the 90s.There was one test in Chennai against Pakistan which india lost by a very small margin after which Sachin even cried feeling guilty of getting out at the most crucial juncture.Pretty much sums up his career in the 90s.
My most favourite sachin memory was while playing cricket cards the player having sachin in his lot would be given the first chance.?

Nice Indicine, haahaha nice mauka mauka, but in 2007 we met Pakistan only in T20 world cup in 50 Over World Cup, we were in a different group and both team out in a 1st Round.
