Manam has opened to outstanding reports on its opening day. The bigger centres in Andhra / Nizam have opened very well and the response even in centres like Mumbai and Bangalore was pretty good.
Manam is the last film of legendary Telugu actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao (who passed away on January 22 this year), where he shared screen space with his son Nagarjuna and grandson Naga Chaitanya.
The film has collected around Rs 3.75 to 4 crore all over – Rs 3 – 3.25 crore (share) from the Andhra/Nizam home circuit and around 75 lakhs from other centres.

Manam
The word-of-mouth is outstanding and the advance booking in Mumbai, where the film has released on 17 centres, is terrific. There are also reports that shows at multiplexes could be increased on Sunday, as the release was limited both in Andhra and outside.
Even in much smaller centres like Mangalore, the occupancy was good at 30-40% on its opening day. Business in Tamilnadu was affected by the Kochadaiyaan wave across the state.
Manam has also collected around 55-60 lakhs from the United States of America on Thursday (previews)
Manam First Day Collections Breakdown (approx figures)
- Andhra Pradesh / Nizam – 3 – 3.25 crore
