Ki and Ka has shown good growth of around 15% on Day 2 at the box office. The film has collected 8.41 crore on Saturday to take its 2-day total to Rs 15.71 crore.
Sunday business will be crucial for the film because the T20 World Cup final could affect business in the night.
The big test for the Arjun – Kareena starrer will come on Monday. If the film holds to 4 crore plus on its first weekday, then it has every chance of performing well until the release of FAN on April 15.
Two open weeks is a huge advantage to have in today’s times and the film can only make full use of it if it sustains well during the weekdays.
As far as recovery is concerned, Ki and Ka has already recovered about 40-50% of its investment in 2 days. It should go on to be a clean hit at the box office, if it holds to decent levels Monday onwards.

There is nothing special in the movie .. It is just another regular candy floss movie.. Just the roles have been reversed.
Today should be good too as India is not in the finals which would have affected the collections big time.
Monday collections will be crucial. But expecting it to be a hit which will be a good comeback for Arjun.
Not a fan of his but happy for him. There is a need for youngsters to deliver more hits and move up the stardom ladder.
Don’t care much about boxoffice.
Its a lovely little film.. went with my parents yesterday and they enjoyed it thoroughly.. Dad’s retired.. Mom is working.. now mom wants dad to cook at home after watching the film..

Why are the terms like recovery , budget , ancilliary rights, Tv rights, satellite rights etc being circulated during release of Kapoor and sons, Ki and Ka to call it a zabardasti ki Hit?
@Heropanti, because it’s economics that make these films work. The concept of Ki and Ka has little or no appeal outside major cities, so if the landing costs are too high, it’s impossible to recover. The upper limit is 50-60 crore.

@indicine what do u mean by concept of Ki n ka? It was genuinely the same rom-com which we see, love , conflict and happy-end.. And what less-appealing it had?? Had all the double-meaning dialogs, vulgar scenes and Yo Yo honey Singh tracks for the ppl outside metros.
