Ki and Ka has collected Rs 7 – 7.5 crore on Day 1 at the box office, as per estimates. The film has performed very well, recording the third highest opening day collections of 2016 – after Airlift and Kya Kool Hain Hum 3.
Released on 1650 screens in India, the Arjun – Kareena starrer took a slow start on Friday morning, but business picked up quite significantly towards the end of the day.
The opening is at around the same level as Kapoor & Sons, which gives Ki and Ka a solid platform for the weekend. A strong first day has become crucial for films these days, because a low opening can seal the fate on Day 1 itself – like we have seen with films like Fitoor and Rocky Handsome this year.
All eyes will now be on Saturday, as the word-of-mouth will begin to come into play. Growth of 15-20% would mean the film has managed to find appreciation with its target audience.
Ki and Ka has two open weeks at the box office, before the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN on April 15.

Ohh god.. This arjun kapoor is jusst surviving on stereotype rom-coms . Riding on heroines star-pull.. These type of films won’t benefit him much appreciation is pretty less.. And won’t add to his number of fans much.
Those are great collections. Frankly was expecting max 6.5 cr. So a very good start. Lets see how the WoM is for the movie.

I saw it today it was a very gud movie i swear all the cinema hall ppl are laughing and praising the movies and dialogues all enjoyed the movie thoroughly uptill the end credit nobody even walk out of the cinema as we are all hooked to our seat to see the final end credits of the song high heels. Mark my words it will be a super hit or atleast a hit. Will go on sunday with my family to watch again. RECOMENDED to all bollywood fans

Wow ! Didnt expected such opening . More than kapoor & sons . That means Arjun has more star power than Siddharth . But the problem is that reviews are average , but lets see how the WOM is . One more thing is that all the reviews are praising Arjun’s performance . That means he has grown as an actor .

My prediction gone terribly wrong i wss expecting a 5.7 to 6.3 cr opening and they managed to take a gud opening. So very much happy 4 them. Now i hv to change my lifetime prediction also…..
Arjun kapoor will never add any fan till his pathetic admirer and hater of senior league of actor exists on this site and keeps trashing on other actors with his nasty comments. If this movie is good it deserves to be hit. But if this movie becomes hit somebuddha will go insane pointing Arjun kapoor a superb actor and ahead of all other serior actor
