Producer Karan Johar has blocked the Christmas 2016 weekend for a film directed by ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ director Ayan Mukherji.
Johar made the announcement on Twitter earlier today.
“AYAN MUKERJI’s next for Dharma productions is slated to begin mid next year and release December 23rd,2016. RANBIR KAPOOR and ALIA BHATT…” Karan tweeted.
The yet-to-be-titled film will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt for the first time.
The shooting of the film will begin mid-2015 and release in theatres on 23rd December 2016.
There have been reports that the movie will belong to the superhero genre with death-defying stunts and mind-boggling action sequences. It could also be a part of a trilogy, but all that is speculation for now.

Before start of the shooting of the film producer want to look holiday but they should remember the big superstar never release their film in non holiday n when their film announce then producer have nothing to do by shifting release date

@arjunkapoor, only 60cr opening day nd 500cr lifetime for a ranbir movie! Even finding fanny gonna collect 70cr on its opening day nd 700cr lifetime. So, this ranbir kapur movie definately collect more than 100cr on its opening day nd 1200cr lifetime…lol.

Now the big question is whn wil srk movies release?
When I predicted villain will b a 100cr blockbuster,everybody laughed.when I predicted humpty will do 65cr+,everybody laughed. now I predicted kick will do 34-37cr day1 and lifetime 300cr which will b beaten by hny(325cr approx )and p.k (350cr approx) everybody is again laughing.
in the first case I came out as winner and in the next three cases my predictions will again come true.
Announcements don’t matter. Christmas slot will again taken by Aamir.
