Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar will produce a film together. The untitled project will be directed by Punit Malhotra (I Hate Luv Storys).
It will be a two hero film, with Akshay playing one of the leads. Announcement on the other male lead will be made next week.

Talking about the film, Karan Johar said “I can’t divulge too much now. But what I can definitely say is that the movie is mainstream and has a very strong underlying social message. It’s solid and hard-hitting. Punit brought me this amazing script. I immediately approached Akshay and he was equally thrilled with the idea.”
Akshay too confirmed the film “We’re two very passionate producers with one great aim i.e to entertain. Both Karan and I want to make our fathers proud. Cheers to our new venture.”
Shooting for the film will begin in the first half of 2014, after Punit Malhotra is done with directing Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

now karan johar is making some quality movies by working with other actors and newcomers otherwise karan-srk combination was giving low quality movies.
