The Jungle Book has surpassed major grossers like Salman Khan’s 2010 film Dabangg, 2011 film Bodyguard and will go past the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s 2015 Christmas release ‘Dilwale’ today.
The film has now become the 17th highest grosser in just 19 days after its release. It’s certain to become the 14th highest grosser, with an outside chance of going higher up the list.
Note: The list only includes films that have been dubbed in Hindi and released all over India. The second highest grosser for a film that wasn’t produced in the Hindi film industry, is Baahubali.

Just remember Haters . If Khans will be targeted then remember that Overseas bolly wood business will also collapse like domestic box office (See recent years ). Holly wood will finish Bollywood.. so stop targeting SRk and other khans films. Remember the time no one watched crap Bollywood movies around the world. It was SRK who gave u chance to increase Bollywood movies budget due to new overseas markets. Other wise low budget crap massy work would have continued just like kanada movie industry. Soon Even Telegu/ Punjabi film industry will overtake Bollywood even in Overseas.

Frgiveast year till this year there have been 3 movies that have achieved the unthinkable . TWMR, Baahubali and now The Jungle Book . TWM was a Hit when it was released in 2011 . It was especially appreciated by masses and North Indian States . TWMR was expected to be a Hit/Superhit but nobody thought it will do more than 100 CR and cross the barrier of 150 CR . It was the 4th Highest Grosser of 2015 and did more money than Dilwale which released on Christmas . Baahubali was always looking grand from its trailer and gave a feeling of 300 but I never thought Hindi audience will appreciate Baahubali so much . But it did 116 CR in Hindi version and this is nothing but phenomenal . The Worldwide Gross of Baahubali is 600 CR and at the 3rd position after PK and BB . It was the first movie from South Cinema to do 400 CR Worldwide business . Now we all are eagerly waiting for Baahubali 2 . Now last but not the least The Jungle Book is breaking records everyday . The Jungle Book has overtaken the collections of Agneepath, RR, SR, Dabangg and Bodyguard which is nothing but phenomenal . It is looking for 160 CR+ and it will be not easy for any movie to break the record of Jungle Book especially in the 2nd and 3rd week . FF7, Avengers, JP and now TJB Hollywood is showing that they don’t need EDX to do huge money as they are able to give 100 CR+ in IPL season . TJB will find its place in the Top 5 Highest Grosser of 2016 and that will be a great success for Hollywood in India . Out of these 3 movies 2 are non Hindi movies which shows Non Hindi movies are also getting their due on BO . It is great to see audience are accepting all kinds if Cinema from all over the world as it will encourage our industry to focus on better content, directors, screenplay and better subjects . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just few days back, all non-actor fans, akki fans and Hrithik fans mocked SRK, saying a kid (The Jungle Book fame) has surpassed the collections of FAN.
Now, what’s your take on this news you idiots?
The same kid’s movie has been surpassed the collections of one of the biggest blockbuster of Salman’s career (Dabangg) and career best performance of Akki (RR/AirLift).
Now, just don’t come with release year, inflation and all other technical terms.
Though, for me, the superstardom should not be determined in that way and TJB is enjoying this super success because of it’s content and it’s appeal to every age group (e.g. kids/youths/oldies etc).
But since you all started that first, now enjoy the taste of your own medicine.

@indicine i am 100% sure that Avatar & Titanic were among the top20 grossers of all time at the time of their release. Avatar scored 74cr in 2009 which is unbelievable. Surely among top 10 grossers of all time. It did more than wanted new york type big hits of that year. Was the 3rd highest grosser of the year

I guess mostly small stubborn kids are loving this film. Since they can’t go to theaters on their own, they drag their parents to theaters with them. My small niece dragged me to the theater to watch the film. The visuals/animations were mind blowing but same old story the jungle book 1967, and the jungle book cartoons we have already seen.
