There has been a flurry of new release date announcements today. After ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘The Shaukeens’, Ranbir Kapoor’s Jagga Jasoos too has been pushed to a later date.
The film, which marks the reunion of the ‘Barfi’ actor-director duo of Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu, will release on August 28th 2015 – two weeks after Shahrukh Khan’s FAN which is scheduled to arrive in theatres a day before India’s Independence Day.
Jagga Jasoos is supposedly about a teenage detective (Ranbir) who searches for his missing father (Govinda) with the held of his love (Katrina Kaif).
The shooting schedule of the film will be wrapped up late this year or early 2015.

Ranbir is messing up his career big time. Already Bombay Velvet is postponed. Then in 2015 Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is releasing during Eid followed by SRK’s Fan 2 weeks later. After seeing these 2 superstar films nobody will want to go and waste money to see Ranbir’s film so soon.
Jagga jassoos will be a BIG FLOP. Naam se hi daar lagta hain. Fan will be the Most Acclaimed Film of 2015. Talented Maneesh Sharma will direct his dream man Shah Rukh Khan in a never seen before role. Excited like heavens!!!!

Now a days, two open weeks are more than enough for any movie to shatter the records. So release date of Jagga Jasoos is not going to impact SRK’s “Fan” in anyway.
Btw I’m desperately waiting for Fan and Raees as it looks these two movies will have content like SRK’s previous legendary hits. In recent times,SRK’s movies lost that quality, which he known for. Hope the era of Swades, Veer-Zara, CDI, RNBDJ, MNIK etc will be back with Fan and Raees.

Can’t stop laughing.Anybody comes without fear and clashes with Srk movies or after 1 or 2 weeks after his movies and takes screens from his movies.Now Fan will almost disappear from theatres after 2 weeks.Hope it crosses atleast 250 crores in 2015 as people r expecting his this year 2014 movie to cross 300 crores .lol

I’m looking forward to both Fan as well as Jagga Jasoos. Releasing Jagga Jasoos two weeks after Fan wouldn’t harm either film, as a film normally starts losing screens from 2nd week itself. Rockstar also released two weeks after Ra.One. Ram-Leela also released two weeks after Krrish 3 and did well.
