Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has said that the 100 and 200 crore clubs does not excite him as he manages to do four films a year quite comfortably. During times when most actors struggle to complete even one film a year, Akshay says he even gets time for holidays after completing 4 films.
He has completed the entire shooting schedule of Neeraj Pandey’s Baby in just 32 days!
“I do four films in a year. And I do that quite easily and I get a lot of holidays. I always reach on time on sets. So why shouldn’t I do four films? I like to do new things in films. I don’t look out for 100-200 crore clubs. I love to take on risky stuff that I see as creatively satisfying.”
The actor who was once known for repeatedly working on similar films, has decided to take on riskier films like Baby and Airlift.
“I don’t want to do only hero films… I have to change myself because I get bored. I just can’t do films like ‘Rowdy Rathore’ again and again. There are films like ‘Gabbar’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Airlift’ where I will be seen in different avatars,” he said.

What is the point of making 4 to 5 movies in a year if most of them r struggling to recover its cost.
What I’m saying is, Akki should do 1 or 3 film in a year and of them should realese big festival like Eid or Diwali then his golden days will be back.
How does Akshay manage to do 4 films a year easily when others dont get enough time for one?? Hrithik and Aamir struggle to get even 2 films in 3 years!! Both dont have any releases in 2015 and Akshay has 10 films lined up. Don’t know how this works :|

But Akki, doing too many films will decrease your stardom and star-power! You were no.1 in 2007 and but you could not maintain the pace because you do too many films!
Salman also used to to three to four films a year earlier. Now, he does two films a year, which is very good. One movie in a year or one in two years are too less!

Yes,it is your division to do whatever you want to,but at least give good film dude,from last 2 year he had given two good film SPL 26 and holiday but also given utter crap boss,entertainment and ouatimd.I don’t care what movie collect of him due to 3-4 releases per year but atleast they won’t be poor,as with 4 films you can’t gave every film hit,some may flop or avg but that shouldn’t be crap at least.
LOL.. You are turning 4-5 poor producers bankrupt every year. It’s only you who is getting monetary benefits (only) from such movies. Why can’t you do only 1-2 quality movies each year and make your fans proud as well your producers happy?
