Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan arrived in Bhuj on Monday, to the same place where Ashutosh Gowariker shot major portions of his Oscar nominated film ‘Lagaan’.
Ashutosh and Hrithik’s second film together (after Jodha Akbar) titled ‘Mohenjo Daro’ went on floors on Tuesday. The cast and crew of the film began shooting a few dramatic sequences, before they move on to shoot action scenes.
The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 B.C.
“It’s been in pre-production for a while now. So when we took the first shot, everyone on the sets got emotional, including Ashu” said Gowarikar’s wife Sunita, who is also the co-producer of the film.
Talking about the action scenes in ‘Mohenjo Daro’, Sunita said “We couldn’t start with action as Hrithik needs to familiarise himself with the character. We want him to spend a week with the character, doing dramatic sequences before we go all out with the action.”
‘Mohenjo Daro’ also stars Pooja Hegde. The film releases in theatres in 2016.

This is one EPIC we are ALL excited about!!! Everything things look on place and I trust the director’s vision. Moreover Ashu is making sure that the duration of the movie is not more than 2 Hours so that’s an added advantage for people who doesn’t like long movies, having said that I felt 3 hours of Jodha Akbar were less as I fell in love with EVERY scene of the movie! Pure Brilliance !!
The movie is surely going to be epic.But wish he does more movies at least 1 every year

This is going to be difficult wait for the fans but I hope the reward is sweeter. Being a Hrithik fan I have to admit I haven’t liked any of his films after ZNMD. Specially Bang Bang was ridiculous.
He needs give all his for Mohenjo-Daro. He needs to understand commercial success is of minimal benefit to a stardom of a superstar. A example of this is Amitabh Bahchan only know for his perfroances. He also needs to to good films and iconic performance that stay with people for years. But expectation for this one are sky high as hrithik is in safe hands this time. Ashutosh Gowariker is one of the best directors and History telling is his best art. Here hoping for a great film, unforgettable performance of HR and no more further delays please. All the best Mohenjo-Daro team.
