Now that the trailer of Akshay Kumar’s Holiday has received more than 2 million views on popular video-sharing website Youtube, we’d love to know what you think of the trailer.
‘Holiday: A soldier is never off duty’ marks the return of A. R. Murugadoss, the director of one of Hindi cinema’s biggest blockbusters Ghajini which released way back in 2008.
The film, produced by Vipul Shah, stars Akshay and Sonakshi Sinha – the lead pair of Rowdy Rathore. Pritam has composed the music.

i expected it a bit more edgy but still its far better than any khan films released in past 2 years.
Its little better trailor than Akhsai’s previous but still not hoping too much..

Some people are saying it is a scene to scene remake but When Ghajini(aamir) was coming,they said the same thing that it was a scene to scene remake of ghajini(surya).They started comparing Aamir with Surya but when it was released,there was a difference.A R Murgadoss is not a lazy director.He will make it to suit north indians

The trailer was good but not brilliant . The villain is just looking ordinary . The concept of DIA and sleeper cells are looking interesting . A.R Murgadoss is a brilliant director and i personally like the directors who make remakes and the original movies . So i am excited for Holiday because it is a very important movie for Akki after 2 back to back flops and even Sonakshi had 3 flops and 1 crap superhit R… Rajkumar . So let’s see what happens . The movie is clashing with Action Jackson on 6th June so that is not a good news because i like both of them . Other than that 6th June is the post ipl period which is very crucial for box office . I think clash will take place because Ajay will also not prepone his movie because he also has given 2 back to back flops like Himmatwala and Satyagraha . So let’s see who will win this box office race . Best of luck to team Holiday .
The problem with the trailer is Akshay’s dialogue delivery. Although he has been in the industry for more than 20 years and has acted in more than 100 films, he still hasn’t learnt the art of getting the diction and delivery right.
Watch the trailer at 2:50 if you don’t know what I mean. When Akshay says “I’m waiting” it makes you cringe!
On second thought, I think its just the english dialogues that he struggles with.
Either way, he is awesome at action and comedy.. but sucks when it comes to romancing the heroine.
Hope the movie turns out to be good.
Before Akshay fans jump on me.. this is just a honest, unbiased opinion on the trailer.

I am sure this film has 40% chance of becoming flop, 0% chance of doing 100 crore, 50% chance of becoming Joker 2 , 10% chance of being a good film and 100% chance of becoming another 60 crore grosser from Akki.

@Aeeyy Akshay is a smaller actor than Khans and Hrithik. It is not compulsory to post articles on Akki for each and every activity he does.
It was important to write on Jai Ho’s underperformance because it starred a blockbuster actor. There are articles on SRK, Hrithik etc because readers are interested in reading about them.
Personally speaking I liked the Holiday trailer. However there is no need to over hype it.
It contains elements which are already seen in Bollywood movies.
in my view akshay lookin old and about retire military officer romancing a 35 yr old aunty sona who is doin late marriage…sleeper cells and anti-terrorist concept is nothin seen many movies akki fans r usin it to cover masala actioner just lik salman fans did with jai ho showin help 3 concept…
