Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 has performed very well so far in its first week at the box office. The film has collected nearly 75 crore in 6 days and should complete a successful Week 1 with net box office collections of around 80 crore.
The film has done well in the overseas markets too.
Friday (Day 8) and Saturday (Day 9) will decide if the film will go on to be a clean ‘hit’ or better. If the fall isn’t big on Friday and the film manages growth on Saturday, then we could be in for yet another big day on Sunday. We expect the film to hold to around 4 crore on Friday, 5 crore on Saturday and 7-8 crore on Sunday – that sort of trend and collections will give the film a chance to outgross the previous film in the franchise and also help it attain hit status.
The Sajid-Farhad directed film has no major competition in Week 2, except Amitabh Bachchan’s TE3N.
Housefull 3 needs to collect around 105 crore for clean-hit status and about 140-145 crore for ‘Super Hit’.

Housefull 3 collections are both disappointing and as expected….
Disappointing because it should have collected around 150 crores by end of run but now it isn’t looking possible..
As expected because comedy movies aren’t known for movies which everyone runs to theatres to watch…They are known for movies tat are watched on laptops via torrents or CDs or on television…This is because most of them lack the quality and entertainment value..But when one does come around that is good, most people give it a skip thinking that it isn’t good..This is the case of Housefull 3…Another thing I have noticed is the amount of hatred in the heart of people for Akshay Kumar who are so jealous of his success that they are spreading negativity left, right and centre!!!
This was not the case with past comedies like Golmaal series, hosefull 2, etc…
But what they don’t realize is that their plan can backfire as Askhay fans are able to do the same when other star’s movie releases…
Overall, Housefull 3 is all set to be the highest grossing comedy if it continues on a steady run but if it hinders in week 2(Like ALL other comedies), then it will fail to even cross 100 crores…
Another point: The movie already has made up it’s investment so anything from here is just profit…SO according to this, if it grosses 20 crores from domestic region, 20 from other countries , then it has a profit of 40 crores at least which is something that is dreamed of by Ajay’s production house…As in, dryshiam, action jackson, tezz, himmatwala, satyagraha,etc…
I’m dissappinted that hf 3 won’t able to collect more than it’s potential but will be content if it Atleast collects more than than previous one. Thought part 2 was the best one out of the 3. What do u think indicine?

Although I am a die hard Salman fan I must admit I do like Akshay Kumar in comedy especially the household franchise plus he is a good actor and a hard working one.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected 87cr on week 2 without any holiday,Dhoom 3 collected 149cr before christmas and PK collected 155cr before christmas, so please celebrate your success but don’t go overboard.
