Housefull 3 has done very well on Sunday at the domestic box office. Multiplex business was up and single-screens, where business was surprisingly below-par in the first couple of days, picked up too.
As per early estimates, the film has collected around 20-21 crore on Sunday – giving it a healthy first weekend total of 50 crore plus.
All eyes will now be on a strong hold on Monday. Anything above 9 crore will be excellent and if the collections hold around 7-8 crore range – it’ll still suggest a good trend, as multiplex ticket prices drop on Monday. Housefull 2 (2012) collected 6.50 crore on Monday, while Akshay’s highest grosser Rowdy Rathore (2012) – after a 48.1 crore first weekend – went on to hold outstandingly well by collecting 9 crore.
Akshay’s more recent success ‘Airlift’ collected 10.40 crore on its first weekday – but the following day (Tuesday) was a holiday for Republic Day, which gave the film an advantage for the night shows on Monday.
If Housefull 3 manages to hold somewhere in between Housefull 2 and Rowdy Rathore, it would mean the film has a good chance of taking advantage of the open weeks at the box office.
Just to add, there has been a lot of talk about the opening of ‘Housefull 3’. It was below expectations without a doubt, but it’s also a fact that the target audience of the franchise – families – only come out to watch films on Sunday. More so due to the lacklustre music album, which made a dent on business at single-screens in the first two days. The opening was solid and Saturday witnessed growth – which wasn’t the case with Housefull 2 in 2012. Sunday the film has come into its own, with Housefull boards at several theatres across the country.
All eyes now on Monday.

Akki’s fan following in a small town itself is much bigger than clown devgn’s over all fan following worldwide.
I just watched suhaag now. Akki was the only watchable thing along with karishma and nagma. who was that ugly supporting actor who was looking like a D grade clown from Uganda? Suhaag was hit only because of akki, nobody even cared about that supporting ugly actor.
See I said it that it’s a movie of Akshay which will be loved by each and everyone.
So the movie is thik-thak only but Akshay performance made it best comedy movie of recent times . Ppl will come watch it again n again in 2nd week also for sundii ??

If it was SRK and Salman, I can understand (that’s wrong too but it’s an old rivalry). What’s your problem with Akshay Kumar. Both Akshay and SRK were common men without any godfather who made it big. Be happy for that rather than bringing him down.
Akshay fans don’t get too excited a 52 cr opening weekend on 3700 screens is plain average for a star studded big ticket franchise film that too a comedy masala which is a universally appealing genre in India,don’t know why these nonsense no brainers do well,anyway coming to this film it has just 1 more day to collect as much it can bcoz from Tues holy month of Ramadan starts and no Muslim watches movies during this period which is considered to be dull for film trade,100 crs will be touch and go ,at best it would be above average at box office a huge disappointment.
mondat will seal the fate of the film.. if its 8 plus which i doubt then 125 cr is on…but for films like these weekends are high and weekdays are low since multiplex rates are low on weekdays and families come on weekends
families have accepted the movie without any doubt and they will ensure to make the movie go past 100 crs.monday should atleast cross 7 to 8.

Airlift with so much positivity ,good reviews and feedback ,with a big national holiday and two week free run earned barely 128 crs at box office and 43 crs overseas ,shahrukh’s most hated movie dilwale earned 149 CR’s in India and 26 million overseas ,worldwide,392 crs and his so called flop fan earned185 CR’s worldwide,another non performer hny made 204 crs nett in Indild 369 CR’s worldwide,even salman’s crap prdp supposed to an underperformed made 208 CR’s in india ,his flop jai ho made 112 CR’s in india,akkis biggest grosser till date is rowdy rathore which made 136 CR’s nett in India ,srk in his worst performing phase is better than akki ,its just a matter of one good film for srk and everything will change
@Sunny: I honestly liked it when I watched it in theatre…I enjoyed films like HNY,boss too but when I saw it second time I really dint like all these films.Same with Gunday,Jai Ho,Singham returns..Now I can’t bear these films when they air on TV.
Who knows I may not enjoy Housefull3 in 2nd watch too.

Housefull is one of the most crappiest,disgusting and outrightly nonsense movie franchise of all times.Housefull3 no better than its predecessors,making fun of handicapped people,come in how cheap and low the makers and actors can go in the name of comedy and entertainment,just watched the movie ,my advice to people who are planning to watch the movie don’t waste ur money and time,instead give that money to the poor at least u will feel better but after watching this movie u will fall sick ,a big O out of 5 for this crapfest,all actors of this film should get punishment for assaulting the audience,’s sensibility with their terrible and over the top acting

Akshay tha blessed! This guy writes his own rule. He doesn’ t do any unnecssary publicity gimmick to stay in news. Releases 4 films per year doesnt need holiday. Doesn’t need big banner nor big actress. He works with every type of directors. New, old all. This guy is a true star. Did u say legend! I agree
