Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 3 has surpassed the first weekend collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s FAN to record the highest first weekend collections of 2016. The film was extraordinary on Sunday, with net box office collections of Rs 21.80 crore.
While FAN had limited appeal towards audiences at smaller centres, the SRK starrer had an additional advantage of a partial holiday on its opening day. On the other hand, Housefull 3 belonged to a popular franchise and released during the favourable ‘Post IPL’ period.
Akshay Kumar now has two films in the Top 3. Clearly, 2016 is shaping up to be a good year for him.

Even Akki’s contentless movie is earning more than SRK’S content rich cult classic :0 SRK shud immediately start playing father roles.
I have a handicapped sister who is deaf and dumb,everyday its a struggle not only for her but for us and this movie shamelessly uses disability to evoke cheap laughs,I think people who are insensitive derive entertainment from such movies,big budget Bollywood films always uses disability,homosexuality and innocent animals for ridicule and entertainment,its a shame,the censor board gives jungle book UA certificate and passes these sort of films ridiculing handicapped people,shame on akshay Kumar and the makers,for money they can stoop to such low levels of entertainment.
Friday and Saturday tak self-proclaimed Global(read-Gobar) star k fans logo ko housefull 3 ki collection boht kam lag rhi thi..but aaj jab H3 ne Usha Fan ka collection surpass kr liya hai toh in logo ko achanak se Content ki yad aa gyi.. Lolz..
and Mr. Biased Admin of @Indicine if you can include TJB in list,why can’t civil war and X-men..? TJB is Hollywood film and it shouldn’t be in the list. Their production,marketing are way bigger than Bollywood films.It shouldn’t be compared with Tuchha films like Usha Fan.lulz

Me for first never gave a damn to BOI as it is crystal clear their personal agenda against Hrithik from Krrish 3 onwards…but why I quote BOI link here is to bash certain morons like Makkiholic here who takes BOI figures for HR movies to bash him and for his own star he takes producer figures like the case of SIB and Brothers….why the double standard?? For me Krrish 3 is 244 cr nett domestic and Bang Bang 181 cr…I trust producer figures not the Khans’ chamcha BOI site….cheers!
