All Is Well has opened to a very poor response at the box office. The Abhishek Bachchan starrer is below a female-centric violent film like NH10 and other disastrous films like Shamitabh, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi and Mr X.
The opening is better than other Abhishek Bachchan films like ‘Khelein Hum Jeen Jaan Se’ (1 cr) and Game (1.8 cr), but worse than some of his other solo films like Raavan (6 cr), Delhi 6 (4.75 cr) and Guru (3.5 cr).
Abhishek films rely on content to do well at the box office, but given the fact that his solo films open so poorly, even some of his best films like Guru (Hit) and Dostana (Above Average), just about end up recovering costs.
Meanwhile, the Top 5 is dominated by Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. While Salman is in a different league altogether, Akshay has given two 10 crore plus opening this year, even though all his films have been about 15-20% below trade expectations.

Brothers had a huge fall in business on day eight with collections in the 1.25-1.50 crore nett range. The drop is 90% from its first day. This huge drop has come even though the new releases were weak and in reality a film a big like Brothers should be dominating the box office this week also. The film should grow over the weekend but not like successful films and the weekend may come out to be around 5 crore nett, if its lucky it may come out a bit higher but the fact is its not going to do even a 10 crore nett second week which is unthinkable for a big film. Brothers has no chance to do the lifetime business of Gabbar Is Back and even the figures of Baby look out of reach. So despite being Akshay Kumar’s biggest film of the year it will probably turn out to be his lowest grosser as compared to the two previous films.

I think Abhishek puts in more dedication when he appears with bigger star casts. Apart from Guru n Ravan he is so lazy on d screen! Yuva should be one of his stand out performance though he wasn’t d lead actor. Bol Bachan he was so good I think he was nominated or won d a filmfare I guess. Hny I think he stole d show and in dhoom3 he was cool. Between appearing on screen wit d likes of an aamir a shah or an ajay means you have to talk impress them 1st even before d director!!
So in summary abhishek brings out d best in him with bigger actors but that’s not boosting his star power at all unlike his peers like hritik john Shahid who can carry a movie on their shoulders. Verdict….. disappointing career!!

One of the biggest disasters of all time – YLHJK might have been a delayed movie but it was released in 2004 and at that time srk was a still a big star giving conescutive hits, it released after his consecutive hits devdas, chalte chalte, khnh & just before his mhn & veer zara, it had a popular actress in raveena tandon and still it flopped big time, his voice might have dubbed in the movie but his physical presence wasn’t, while on the other hand ‘marigold’ was more like a delayed low budgeted hollywood debut of salman, it wasn’t a typical bollywood movie and it was barely promoted that too when salman was going through the worst phase of his career, according to BOI both are disasters but taking all the factors into consideration we can clearly say that YLHJK was a bigger disaster than MG and easily the biggest ever disaster of bollywood with a superstar featuring in it.
If he wanted srk could have easily avoided the release of YLHJK as he had all the power to do it (it was a very low budget movie and the mahacrap that it was it had not chance whatsoever to do well at the BO, he could have easily paid few crores to the makers as a pre-compensation and could have completely stopped from the movie from releasing at all and could have avoided the embarrassment of having the biggest disaster of all time ) but he didn’t and after the movie ‘disaster’ed’ big time at the BO he completely disowned himself from the movie, such a cheap character he is.
When ‘jai ho’ under performed at the BO Salman took the entire responsibility for the movie’s failure and even publicly acknowledged it (though it failed because of all the reasons other than salman) while on the other hand when the ‘crappiest movie of them all’ Ra.1 under performed big time at the BO did srk ever accept anything similar? instead he even physically abused shirish kunder for telling the truth about the cRAp.1’s disastrous nonperformance, really srk is such a cheapo.
