A quick update on the next film in the Hera Pheri Series
- The second film was titled Phir Hera Pheri, but the 3rd film will be Hera Pheri 4.
- Initially, Anees Bazmee was signed to direct the film, but due to some unknown reason, he has opted out. When contacted he said “I am not making Hera Pheri for some reason, Neeraj Vora and Feroz Nadiadwala are making it.”
- So it’s confirmed – Neeraj Vora, who directed Phir Hera Pheri will also be directing the third film. Feroz Nadiadwala will be producing it.
- As for the cast, the iconic Hera Pheri gang of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty has been replaced withAbhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Nana Patekar. Sources say, Bazmee was unhappy with the starcast, which was one of the main reasons he decided to opt out of the sequel.
A source also adds that, Abhishek will be playing Akshay’s character Raju, while Ritesh will be replacing Suniel Shetty as Shyam. Nana Patekar will reprise the most-loved character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte a.k.a Babu Bhaiya in Hera Pheri 4.
