Hawaizaada Box Office Collections: First Major Disaster of 2015

Hawaizaada is the first disaster of 2015, as the film will struggle to even recover its marketing costs. The film has collected Rs 60 lakhs on Day 1, which is much lower than even our lowest prediction of Rs 1 crore.

Considering the costs, Hawaizaada had to collect somewhere in the range of Rs 5-6 crore on its opening day to have any chance of recovering costs through theatrical business. However, the film might struggle to collect that much in its lifetime!

Hawaizaada is yet another major setback for Ayushmann Khurrana, who started his career with a universally loved film like ‘Vicky Donor’. His second film ‘Nautanki Saala’ didn’t do too well at the box office, but the costs were on the lower side so the film just about managed to recover its investment. His third film ‘Bewakoofiyaan’ with a big banner like Yash Raj Films’, was a disaster, but even that film performed better as compared to Hawaizaada, which is a washout on the first day itself.

The film is a setback to Pallavi Sharda too, as her first film ‘Besharam’ was also a Flop.
