Q. Have heard rumours about Raees vs Sultan not happening and it is Raees that is moving ahead. Any truth in that? – ANK
A. Although an official announcement is yet to be made, it’s more or less certain now that Raees will be moving to a different date. Reliable sources have now confirmed that Sultan will get a solo release.
Two massive films like Raees and Sultan simply cannot get the release they deserve, if they release on the same day. Given Salman’s track record during Eid and the average performance of Dilwale at the domestic box office, Sultan was always the hotter film in the trade. Right from the day YRF announced the film for Eid, there was never really any question or doubt over that.
Q. Will the excellent opening and a potential strong weekdays hold of The Jungle Book affect the final screen count of FAN? – Ashish Thapar
A. FAN might lose out on a few shows at multiplexes, as exhibitors might retain more shows of ‘The Jungle Book’. It would also depend on how well the Hollywood film holds on Friday, but it isn’t going to make much of a difference. The fate of FAN is dependent on how well the film is liked by the audience, nothing else matters.
Q. Which film takes 100% opening on first day & collected to its full potential? – Pratik
A. No film in the last 10 years has taken a 100% opening. The last film that really opened to a earth-shattering response was Ek Tha Tiger, followed by Dhoom 3. The year-on-year growth was phenomenal - Bodyguard did 21 crore and Ek Tha Tiger collected nearly 50% more.

I have said it earlier at @indicine that I started following Bollywood since 2010-And I started following Srk when his golden run at BO was over-But I always supported him in every possible way-I am not the one who leaves at bad times but believe me it’s not that bad time for srk as he thinks-He is back to performance oriented movies after 5 years and doing what he does best-He is giving huge initial weekends but bad content was hurting the movie-There was nothing wrong with his stardom ,the problem was only content-Now I am expecting Raees to be a content driven movie with strong srk performance then why to step back-Srk will give initials and content will take the film in weekdays

If and then is different and actual having a feeling is something different-When fans are expecting some great performance ms from the actors-Expecting a powerful story-Means all weapons are there to compete and then steps back means that you are nothing-Never felt that low as I am feeling now-Remember Kal Ho na ho when Saif asked “agar tum meri jaga hote tou Kia karte” and srk replied “Kash me hota”—“Kash tum hamari jaga a k feel kar sakte”

I don’t think this has to do with thousands of workers @stake. Many clashes involving these workers has gone down the years maybe not as big as Raees vs Sultan but quite big!!
This has to do with Ego. Just accept it and stop defending trade,single screens bla bla…if every movie clashing will take that as an excuse am afraid no movie will like to clash. Period!!!
That’s be honest with ourselves… Srk is never going to be classified as someone struggling. Yes Salman for now is the last person someone would like to clash with considering his phenomenal box office run of recent. Srk is the one that can give a go at Salman but I think more emphasis will be placed on SRK because of his last movie.
Look these are Titans …Salman Aamir SRK. Of course one has edge over the other considering some factors. Personally I did not want the clash because I wanted each hard work on both project justified at the end of d day.
Another beechara dil…wanted it so that I will be Part of one of the most historical battle at box office clash which seems to be fading day by day. Ego can be from Salman side same with Srk. Don’t be suprise Salman can back off for Sultan. Am not saying it’s happening but it can happen. If it really does I would have more respect for Salman though his fans may think Eid is for him. But I want to tell their fans that Salman with his present peak can release a movie not necessary on Eid and still gross high. Reason? Salman will be more respected and praised for this gesture. 2. They are still friends. One done conversation between the two can influence the release date. 3. Believe me if Salman backs off …be it any release date people(neutral fan like me) just for that gesture will use that to come and felicitate with his opening release be it anyday. Srk fans might disagree saying no they want clash or no favour from Salman but honestly by doing so both movies now can have a very high chance to be the hgoty contenders along with Dangal.
Just my view as a neutral and lover of all of the Khan s involved. ..4 now the clash averted is strictly based on egos of the 2 megastars. Fingers crossed all the best for whatever decision that will finally be made.

yes real fans will support him in all successes and failures-I will support him even he loses clash to sultan-But what about postponing a movie with the fear of clash???We will support in failures but not when srk is himself feared of failure

In its clash with BM, Dilwale would have easily lost 30 to 40 cr which is not a small amount. And in its clash with Sultan too and with lower screens another huge amount will be lost by producers.
At the end of the day movie making is a commercial venture and the producers will take a decision what is best for the movie and people involved with it. So lets wait for the official announcement.
Fan is releasing in a few days. So take a chill pill and just enjoy it.

What has happened to Srk fans all of a sudden..what @ANK said makes complete sense.I don’t know whether the news is true or just another rumor but even if turns out to be true there’s nothing to be disappointed about.It’s business after all.We fans may get trolled by fans of other actors but do think about those people whose lives depends on the collection of every single big movie.
Moreover if Raees gets postponed I am sure it would collect way more than it would in case it clashes with Sultan.Salman’s fan following is huge in interiors of the country and nobody can deny that.I will be watching and supporting Raees no matter if they release it on EID or at any other date.
P.S I still wish the clash happens and Raees beats Sultan but at times whatever we wish doesn’t get fulfilled:)

RAEES is in post-production. RAEES is in Vfx sfx CGI stage. SULTAN has 1.5 m.o. shooting left.
SULTAN is missing EID for sure. It’s poorly planned. Anushka joining very late. Live tv wrestling action included means need 3 m.o. of post production. A reason why trailer is not ready to attach it with fan.
If RAEES is deliberately post-poned. I will boycott it. For sure. Quality cinema must be on offer along with trash cinema on EID.

Raees was announced first way back in 2014 for eid 2016, while sultan is just announced last yr and the shoot also started just last yr end while raees has been in news ever since 2014 and it is under production for 2 yrs. Srk simply cant cheat his fans’ uncondisional support and make way for a crap bhojpuri star’s

If you are, then u should be able to understand and support the true feelings of srkians who have been waiting and dying to see raees for more than 2 years. Actually raees was announced for release in 2015, but then salmon later announced BB for the same date, and Srk showed his humanity by making way for Salman and announced for 2016. Now again this loser and insecure none actor announced his carpets by worst director Ali Abbas for Eid and when raees is a class movie with brilliant story, entertainment and gem of performance by top notch power house talents like Srk, nawaz, mahirw khwn, then who is Salman to come on the way? Salman should be toucht a lesson that Eid is not his property. That insecure fellow has been constantly releasing his films since 2009 and every film of his apart from BB (my favorite film thanks to harshali) are maha craps and sultan is expected to be the same crap. BB was the only good movie Salman did, but all the rest are just crap movies by him. While raees has story, substance and it’s a perfect Eid release then why Srk is doing so much for this insecure, loser none actor Salman who also booked next Eid with Kabir? Salman needs to be shown his place where he belonged before 2010. I am also shocked and disappointed with srk’s such move which he is not only fooling himself but also cheating his fans who have always stood by him even in his bad times.
