Happy New Year has picked up by around 30-40% on its 12th day at the box office, as Tuesday was a holiday in parts of the country Muharram. The film has collected Rs 3.75 – 4 crore to take its lifetime total to Rs 186.5 crore net.
The Shahrukh Khan Diwali release has also emerged as the highest grosser of 2014 in the overseas markets, beating the lifetime overseas collections of Bang Bang.
Happy New Year has an outside chance of going past ‘Kick’ as the biggest worldwide grosser of 2014. Kick grossed Rs 376 crore worldwide and Happy New Year has so far grossed Rs 327 crore. If the film picks up over the coming weekend in India and adds around 10-12 crore overseas, it will be the biggest worldwide grosser of 2014.

@hrithik do u think that salman collected that much with ur other genre no that was also masla genre. similarly srk collected 200cr in masala genre. if srk had done masala genre and collected only 125 then u can compare srk with salman. u have no shame that salman copy paste and same masla movies and compare him with king khan. about 5 films are remake in 8 films. and u say salman is better.
srk gave hits without remake means there is achance that script wont be liked by audience bt in case of remake story has been approved by south audience
