The trailer of Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Haider’ has generated a lot of buzz within the industry. Although the film could be low on the ‘entertainment-value’ factor compared to the film that it competes with (Hrithik – Katrina’s Bang Bang) on October 2nd, there are reports that Haider has shaped up extremely well and could give further boost to Shahid’s career after R… Rajkumar.
As is pretty evident from the trailer and the stills below, Shahid seems to have delivered the best performance of his career – once again under director Vishal Bhardwaj, who directed his most critically acclaimed film ‘Kaminey’.

Yes, it does look like Shahid has delivered his career best performance in it. I also think its trailer had “entertainment value”, at least for those who prefer sensible cinema.

Shahid is destroying career by doing such films. It will sure flop and damage his career. He should do films like R Rajkumar. It was a great movie. Critics are fools and audience are kings as shown by successive hits Heyy Babyy, Housefull 1 and 2.
Critics are nonsense, their knowledge is hypocrisy. All these critically acclaimed Lootera and Lunchbox failed miserably and were rejected by the audience.
Himmatwala and Humshakals failed due to highly publicised bad reviews. Public opinion was great.Otherwise they would have been blockbusters.
Heyy Babyy was a much better movie than Lootera. It did not bore people and made them laugh.
hope it gets solo release.
btw Shahid gonna win best actor award for his performance.

@nipun Heyy Babyy, Humshakals, Housefull, were funny and entertaining. Even Vicky Donor was quite funny. Movies like Lootera are boring and have no entertainment value. Films are for entertainment not boring lectures. If your film is boring, then it is a bad movie. Half of the theater was asleep while watching Lootera and others were tearing the seats in revenge. Audience were abusing each other after watching it saying what a waste of money.

I hoped, it would get open weeks. But unfortunately, there is no window available right now for a solo release. It would be critically acclaimed for sure, Shahid should win all the awards, I guess.
However, the film has a limited chance to score in the boxoffice due to the clash with BANG BANG – Hrithik back in action, though remake of one the worst action films made in hollywood, but I am sure, Hrithik’s charisma and screen presence would take the movie to another level.
For Haider, UTV, if you are listening, could you please be kind enough to postpone your film so that it would not affect both the films. I guess, October 10 would be a better release date, since only 1 film that too of Ayushmaan (people are no more interested in him now) – Hawaizaada would be releasing. Also, Haider would get 12 days to show its true identity till the storm ‘Happy New Year’ arrives..
