Haider has shown incredible growth on its second day at the domestic box office. The film has collected Rs 6.94 crore on Day 2, which is about 13% higher than its first day collections.
While the business of the film is restricted to high-end multiplexes in cities, the fact that Haider is carrying fantastic word-of-mouth publicity has helped. Also, like the saying goes, ‘good or bad, publicity is still publicity’. The controversy surrounding the film might have also helped boost it business as hashtags like #HaiderTrueCinema and #BoycottHaider have been trending non-stop on Twitter and Facebook.
The Shahid Kapoor starrer is expected to grow over the weekend and could get close to the 28 crore mark by Sunday, which is fantastic considering the genre of the film and the clash with a massive release like Bang Bang.

- Friday – 6.94 cr (13% growth)
- Total – 13.08 cr

@Arjun Kapoor, I have bashed Hrithik, I am and I will! I am not as irritating and stupid as like you to call a film Bang Bang a failure in just two days when it collected pretty well. I have just liked the actions and stunts in the movie. But keeping my likeness or dislikness aside, I will wait for 5 more days to call Bang Bang a failure. got it, idiot?? I really don’t understand why most are hating bang-bang. i saw it today and it is really one of the best action movies released in recent years plus Hrithik is just wow. As far as collection are concerned i must say that it will collect at least 170-190 cr. and attain hit /superhit position.
those saying bang bang is good movie and will collect 170-190 crore but that too is nothing but a failure for the movie because it was expected to do much more. the kind of buzz it generated,anything less than 220 crore is not acceptable (if it is a good movie).
oh my God !! Haider is the movie of the decade.. absolutely ravishing..
