Gaurav in SRK’s Fan: First Look

The ‘big’ reveal that Yash Raj Films’ promised at 1PM is out. The first look poster features Gaurav, a die-hard fan of a superstar (played by SRK himself), is seen staring at the wall of his bedroom.

The wall is filled with posters, pictures and scenes from almost every Shah Rukh Khan film. From the Wallpaper of his PC to the books he owns.. his life seems to revolve entirely around the superstar.

In a tweet, YRF said “There’s no star without a fan, there’s no fan without a star. Here comes the SABSE BADA #FAN himself- GAURAV!”

  • Looks good. But I think Hrithik Roshan will bag the best actor award for Mohenjo-daro next year. SRK will give him a tough competition though. Anyways, waiting for this one.

  • why tease with the movie which is due to release next year .. amid all dilwale promotion it hype will be lost then they will have to start from the dust after the release of the dilwale, it would have make more sense then.

  • It will be great to watch Srk himself as a fan !!!!!!! only issue is the non – holiday release as this film has the potential to achieve bigger success.

  • A fan who has no comparison, widin or outside d confinement of d madness encircling a human being. ‘Gaurav’ will be lovd

  • A SRK-Fan is directed SRK ,who’s character is a SRK-Fan, in a film titled Fan and people are going to be Fan of this film Fan.

  • ” Not Only As An Actor, I Can Go On & On About SHAH RUKH As A Human Being, As
A Father, As A Husband & As A Friend. Be It Any Role, SRK Is Number One ” : ??Varun Dhawan?

  • Sir S-R-K is the only Actor who is going to give back LOVE to his FANs unconditionally.

We SRKians really really really proud of u S-I-R S-R-K

  • Srkay is way smaller than akshay kumar. His overacting is hyped always. I don’t take him to be a serious actor never and never will i. Just an oppurtunist who did movies some few superstars rejected and that’s all. Charisma wise
Behind Salman khan by miles. Acting wise always behind Aamir and Ajay. Stardom wise always behind Akshay k. Class wise behind Hritik. Overrated bhudda!!!

  • Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is coming, and India could scarcely be more ecstatic. The new Bollywood extravaganza, which reunites the blockbuster filmmaking team of director Sooraj Barjatya and star Salman Khan, has movie fans tweeting, singing and dubsmashing at a level of frenzied excitement rarely seen outside the sub-continent.
For those of us who aren’t Indian residents or members of the Indian diaspora, it’s nearly impossible to fathom the wave of fanaticism and hype that greets a film like PRDP. Imagine the rush of excitement movie fans in London, New York or Sydney would experience if the new Star Wars trilogy were to release on the same day as a Harry Potter sequel and the next Avatar movie. Now double that amount of energy and you’ll only begin to understand the sense of anticipation awaiting Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
The film is set to arrive in theaters across India and around the world on November 12th, a day after the Diwali festival and at the start of a 4-day holiday weekend. This is an auspicious time for opening a movie, having been the launch date for numerous successful releases, including the second Sooraj-Salman pairing, Hum Apke Hain Koun..!, a romantic comedy that grossed a phenomenal 1.35 billion rupees back in 1994 (the equivalent of about $US 69 million in today’s currency). Expectations are high for the new film, with analysts projecting that PRDP will gross at least 3 billion rupees (roughly $50 million), Some fans are even audaciously suggesting that the film could gross 10 billion rupees, which would make it India’s highest grossing movie by a margin of 50 percent over the current box office record-holder, the Aamir Khan starrer PK.
The high expectations are not unwarranted. PRDP has India’s hottest star in the lead role, playing a beloved character type that he has played many times before (this is Salman Khan’s 15th time playing a character named “Prem”). The movie will have the holiday weekend all to itself, since the debut of an erstwhile competitor, Ghayal Returns, has been postponed to early January. The music that has been released so far is transcendent, with beautifully crafted songs featuring the angelic voice of Palak Muchhal. And if the trailer gives us an accurate indication, it will be a terrifically entertaining picture, with top-notch directing, dancing, storytelling and visual splendor.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a Rajshri Productions film, loosely based on the Mark Twain classic “The Prince and the Pauper.” It was written and directed by Sooraj Barjatya and stars Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It is distributed by Fox Star Studios. The film will also be released in Telugu and Tamil versions as Prema Leela and Meymarandhen Paaraayo respectively.

  • Fan is luking lyk a gr8 movie
I hope the makers know that they themselves r building huge expectation for the movie.

  • Looks good. On paper, FAN may not appear as big as Dilwale and Raees but it may turn out to be the best movie of SRK among these 3 movies. BO may be unpredictable but FAN will surely get acclaims !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the best and looking forward to it !!!!!!!!!!!
