A. Yes, the footfalls of Bajrangi Bhaijaan were a little higher than the combined footfalls of Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale. Bajrangi Bhaijaan performed much better at smaller centres, as compared to the other two films, which make a big difference to footfalls (number of tickets sold). The footfalls of the Salman Khan starrer were also more than PK – even though the Aamir Khan film collected more at the box office.
Q. Is Hera Pheri 3 releasing with Mohenjo Daro and Rustom?
A. No. Hera Pheri 3 has been pushed to 2017. It’ll be Mohenjo Daro and Rustom at theatres during the Independence Day weekend.
Q. Which is the biggest box office achievement according to you – Highest Grosser Of The Year, Highest Grosser of the Decade, Highest Grosser of All Time and Highest Footfalls? – Saksham
A. The trade in general doesn’t give too much value to ‘Highest Grosser of the Decade’, because films that release in the later half of the year have an unfair advantage. For example, Gadar released in 2001 – it was the highest grosser of the year, highest grosser of all time, footfalls were high too (not the highest). But the lifetime business of Gadar wasn’t ‘huge’ for films that released after 2007-2008. As for Highest Footfalls of all time, it’s a record that will never be achieved. Even the footfalls of Gadar would be a difficult target, as even Bajrangi Bhaijaan fell 15% short. Not enough people watch movies in theatre anymore because of so many entertainment options, the fact that films would eventually be premiered on TV and also the high ticket prices. So highest grosser of all time is the biggest achievement in today’s times, followed by Highest Grosser of the Year.

Salman also had the lowest grosser of the decade in 1990s which was nishchay and yeh majhdhaar. So cry baby. So Salman has 2 lowest grossers of the decade, 5 lowest grossers of the year and 1 lowest grosser of the century which was nishchay. Shame shame.

@javed 9:10 u said it with a good heart. I like it. But i want to say something. u want salman to postpone sultan? See..aditya chopra is the owner of yrf films & he planned sultan for eid. Salman cant destroy his plan..Salman is giving from november to april his all dates to fulfil this plan. Salman cant argue with hot temper/quarrel with aditya chopra to show his love for srk.If the question is who should postpone?whether yrf should postpone or red chillies/excel postpone? Both the production houses have invested huge money. bb credit goes to the script and kabir khan not lallu,even nawaz was the reason for bb success.even though lallu could not act in this film this film made wonder bcoz it was a emotional film that connected with audience.we all know that lallu without a script can give another marigold2,where as srk without a script and clash can give 150crs domestic and $26m overseas.whereas bb did only 29m$ overseas with a very good and excellent story line,bb could hv crossed pk collections and become the first film to collect 400m$ but this non actor lallu ruined the film with his terrible acting.
