A Flying Jatt has performed poorly on its opening day at the box office, collecting 7.1 crore on a partial holiday like Janmashtami. The opening day is similar to Tiger Shroff’s debut film ‘Heropanti’ which collected Rs 6.52 crore on Day 1.
The collections are way lower than Tiger’s last release ’Baaghi’ which collected Rs 11.94 crore on its opening day.
‘A Flying Jatt’ had a wide release of 2500 plus screens on Thursday, it’ll open on a few more screens today (Friday), but the big question is going to be whether or not the film can sustain and grow in the 3 remaining days this weekend.
The target audience of the film are family audience and children, who tend to come out in big numbers on Sunday. If ‘A Flying Jatt’ can hold at around the same level as Thursday for the next two days, the film could show good growth on the last day of the weekend.
First day collections of Tiger Shroff films are as follows:
- Heropanti – 6.52 crore
- Baaghi – 11.94 crore
- A Flying Jatt – 7.1 crore
Awesome movie friends
SRK had anounced Eid release for Raees but due to Sultan rel on same date Eid he postponed release date and after average Dilwale and below average Fan he is feeling so insecure that he is now releasing Raees in 26 jan week opp Kaabil no doubt will get advantage of 26 jan holiday but what about limited theatre rel and opp of Kaabil for remaining days
I think a weekend of 26-27 is still possible and that is not great but not bad also considering he is just 2 films old. You can’t expect him to start giving 10 plus opening everytime. Even established stars like akshay Kumar had films that used to wrap below 50 lifetime as well as look at hrithiks mohenjo Daro… I still don’t understand sudden criticism of tiger on collections.,, Emraan has failed to even do 30 lifetime in recent times… It happens … People have started writing him off for this.. Strange
