Yesterday, we published an article predicting the winners of the Filmfare Awards 2016. And like always, we like looking back to see how many we got right.
The top categories were spot on, while the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Best Supporting Actor), Varun Grover (Best Lyrics) and Ankit Tiwari (Best Playback Singer Male) missed out on winning the Filmfare award.
The accurate prediction has been marked in green and the incorrect ones marked in red.
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male): Ranveer Singh – Bajirao Mastani (Winner – Ranveer Singh)
Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) – Deepika Padukone – Piku (Winner – Deepika Padukone)
Best Film – Bajirao Mastani (Winner – Bajirao Mastani)
Best Director – Sanjay Leela Bhansali - Bajirao Mastani (Winner: Sanjay Leela Bhansali)
Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) – Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Badlapur) (Winner: Anil Kapoor)
Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) – Priyanka Chopra (Bajirao Mastani) (Winner: Priyanka Chopra)
Best Music – Ankit Tiwari, Meet Bros. Anjjan and Amaal Mallik – Roy (Winner: Roy)
Best Lyrics – Varun Grover – Moh Moh Ke Dhaage (Dum Laga Ke Haisha) (Winner: Irshad Kamil)
Best Playback Singer (Male) – Ankit Tiwari – Tu Hai Ke Nahi, Roy (Winner: Arijit Singh)
Best Playback Singer (Female) – Shreya Ghoshal – Deewani Mastani (Bajirao Mastani) (Winner: Shreya Ghoshal)

How can they say Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a more popular film than Bajirao Mastani, Bajirao Mastani {Mixed/Positive WOM) beat Dilwale (Mixed WOM) while Bajrangi Bhaijaan (Extremely Positive WOM) could not beat PK (Positive WOM). Too much fun.
Nawazuddin should had won best actor supporting for bajrangi bhaijaan and best actor critics for badlapur or manjhi . He had equal screentime compared to varun in badlapur . He is such a great actor but these filmfake awards give awards to people who attend the shows .
I don’t care about these fake awards. Some time I watch these award shows but just for entertainment.
I am not saying this because Salman didn’t won but because these award doesn’t really mean anything cause these are paid awards and everybody knows that. The proof of this is the actors like Amir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan have never won a single filmfare in their life.
Ajay is national award winner but don’t have a filmfare on his name.
We should stop over hyping this filmfare awards, these are just like Star Dust, Star Guild, Big Star Entertainment and like all the other awards.
In 70s and 80s even the actors like Nasiruddin shaha used to win filmfares but these days only A listed actors win awards. Depika Padukone acts so unnatural but she wons almost every year.
If Salman had won the the award this year then it wouldn’t have made any difference for me. When I read indicine’s predictions for filmfare and in comment section Salman fans were talking about Salman deserving award but I was actually thinking that Salman shouldn’t win because he don’t need any award instead Ranveer should win it.

dont worry bhai fans salman will get national award and either bahubali, bajrangi or manjhi will get best film of the year at least they are not partial like filmfake. ajay gets 3 national award and he didnt get any filmfake while srk wins all fake awards but never even nominated in national award.

Salman was more deserving for the best actor awards for bajrangi bhaijaan. Filmfare is not fare awards. It’s a fake awards.

Ranveer got the award because he(unfair to call only him without peecee n deeps) gave the most anticipated movie of d year with huge buzz Dilwale a real tough time a Srk movie for that matter. If it was not released along with Dilwale but still collected what it collected that award would have gone to Salman.

Piku is an overrated film. An old man has constipation problem and the whole film revolved around just toilet, I mean seriously ? WTF , films like Piku are just overrated with zero entertainment value.

I don’t know about you guyz fighting whether Salman deserved the award….His performance was brilliant and all..But I have also seen people overlooking Akshay Kumar in every award ceremony for the past few years….

Best Film – Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Best Actress – Kangana (TWMN)
Just imagine Salman’s only award is for Supporting Role in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Nothing for Maine Pyaar Kiya, Saajan, Tere Naam, Dabangg, etc and now Bajrangi Bhaijaan. And he won that only award by pipping Bhiku Mhatre. Film (un) fair awards.
2 for Aamir & 8 for Shahrukh, nothing can be a more distorted version of reality. Biased and hopeless awards. Need not give it any more publicity.

salman fans watched bajirao. it became hit. now it got awards. broke all the dream of salmon. if they did not watch the film. the film would be flop. and awards should have gone to salman. ranveer beat srk and salman by a single movie because of salmans fan

I’m not salman fan but seriously bajrangi bhaijaan deserved more awards. Best director and best film should have gone to kabir khan and bajrangi respectively. I’m so disappointed with Filmfare awards. Bajirao mastani is no way the best movie of 2015. Even Baby is a better movie than BM. BM is just an overrated movie bcoz of clash with Dilwale. It earned free publicity bcoz of the clash. With a solo release it would have earned around 150 crs.
All awards are good but I feel that best film award would have been given to Bajrangi & Best actress was undoubtedly Kangna for TWMR

Arjun youngistaan dilwale ww is more than bm so it wasn’t BRUTALLY beaten
Also it was Eros who clashed so stop overhyping things.
