We have some exclusive details on the 57th Idea Filmfare Awards 2012 – awarding the best talent in the industry for the year 2011 (January to December).
- This year, it’ll be the 57th Filmfare Awards, which is by far the oldest awards ceremony in India.
- More than 2400 Filmfare Black Ladies have been awarded to the best talent in the industry in the last 57 years. In 2012, the 2500th black lady will be given out.
- The Filmfare Awards 2012 will be held on January 29th 2012.
- The hosts have not been confirmed yet. For the last two years Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan have been hosting the awards ceremony, after they replaced SRK and Saif Ali Khan. More details on this as soon as it’s confirmed.
Any guesses as to who will win the 2500th Filmfare Award? We think, they’ll give it to Amitabh Bachchan. No one deserves it more! Also, Vidya Balan should win the best actress award for her performance in The Dirty Picture. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a strong contender for Best Film and Zoya Akhtar for best director.
But we wonder who will win the Best Actor Filmfare award in 2012. It’ll be between SRK for Don 2, Salman Khan for Bodyguard or Ranbir Kapoor for Rockstar. Certainly there are more deserving actors, but like always, the Best actor award goes to the most popular performance of the year.
