‘My favourite scenes in Rangoon were chopped off’ says Kangana Ranaut

On the day of release of her latest film, Kangana Ranaut has said some of her favourite scenes from ‘Rangoon’ have been chopped off. While her director (Vishal Bhardwaj) explained why the scenes were removed from the film, Kangana said her hopes were shattered because it affected the ‘graph’ of her performance.

However, Kangana added that people are appreciation her performance in the film.

“Many of my favourite scenes which were important for my graph, were chopped off. I prepare my characters graph in a linear pattern and when I saw the film Vishal (Bhardwaj) sir explained why he cut those scenes”

“It was a very legitimate thing to do, but when I thought that several top notch scenes of my graph have been cut, all my hopes were shattered. I thought now my work will be so so, it won’t be appreciated that much. But despite that people are loving it. I am very happy” she said.

The runtime of ‘Rangoon’ was reduced by nearly 13 minutes after it was passed by the Censor Board. The reason for cutting a few scenes was to make the shorter and make it crisper.
