The theatrical trailer of FAN has been received positively both by the trade and the audience, as the film is being touted as Shah Rukh Khan’s return to roles that demand on-screen histrionics.
Comparisons are being made to films like ‘Darr’ and ‘Baazigar’, which kick-started Shah Rukh’s career in the industry and made him the superstar that he is today.

However, since the industry is known to over-exaggerate and praise even the most mediocre of movies and trailers, what truly matters at the end of the date is the response from the trade and more importantly, the audience.
Thankfully, the response has been terrific so far. The trade is in a celebratory mood as the trailer of FAN has not only impressed, but also surprised. Industry insiders always knew that the film was going to be ‘Darr’ like, but action sequences in the film along with the popularity of the ‘Jabra’ song released in various languages, has significantly increased the reach and mass-appeal of the film.
The month of April doesn’t usually have big releases – the last big film that went on to be a huge grosser at the box office was Housefull 2 back in 2012. Since then, only films, 2 States and Aashiqui 2, have managed to perform. Big stars have preferred not to release their films, which is why the ‘IPL month’ could see audience flocking to theatres to watch Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen.
On Youtube, the theatrical trailer of FAN has also received more than 4 million views in less than 2 days. In comparison, the first teaser of FAN got 6.5 million views in 7 months and the second teaser has received 10 million views in 4 months. (Note: Youtube only. The combined view count on Youtube and Facebook has crossed 6 million)
With nearly 92000 likes, the theatrical trailer is soon set to cross the 1 lakh likes mark. It’s soon going to be more than the combined ‘likes’ of Fan Teaser 1 (38,000) and Fan Teaser 2 (60,000). The ratio of likes vs dislike is excellent too.
Overall, FAN is set to be the biggest release in the first half of 2016. As far as the all-important box office is concerned, the first target will be a 20 crore opening, which would be excellent if its achieved. It’ll also be interesting to see if YRF go all out and give the film a big release like other commercial films starring Shah Rukh Khan. It also remains to be seen if ticket prices will be increased to festive levels.

The trailer was Mind-blowing, no doubt about that. And I am still feeling the hangover of that trailer with the background continuously playing in my mind.
All have been great so far. However the real test still remains i.e. the content of the movie. Fingers crossed and waiting (most) eagerly for this movie.
Some Srk Fans are jumping like a monkey why because Fan trailer cross 4 millions views in 2 days, and they are claiming that It will cross 200cr and even some idiots claiming 300cr, so let me remind you that Dilwale trailer views was 7 million in more than 24 hrs which is almost double than FAN trailer, and I don’t think I have to remind you how much Dilwale collect so stop using your small brain because it’s worthless.

A Bhaitard has been constantly blabbering that SRK is yet to cross 80 crore on Non-Holiday.Someone please remind him that SrK had already reached 85 crore with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi way back on 2008 when it released on 12th december.

@Fan Of Gareeb – that’s why I say that Srk Fans are all dumb and stupid’s for your kind information Dabangg is not a remake it’s an original story (written by Dilip Shukla and Abhinav Kashyap) which later remake in other languages and even Dabangg 2 is also the original script so make facts correct first.
Salman Khan did only 4-5 remakes in his entire career and he makes an official remakes he buys the writes of the movie not like Srk who stole movies content just like he did in FAN which is copy of Hollywood movie “The FAN” not only movies he also copies scene Dilwale car chasing scene between Srk and Kajol are copied from MI 2 even he copy the posters too Raees poster is a copy of Leonardio Dicaprio movie “The crowded room” he also copy Ra-one poster from Batman Begins..and these are just few examples…
And don’t forget that even Srk did 2 remakes and so many movies he stole, his DON movie is remake of AB movie old DON and the Billu movie is also a Malayalam movie Remake…so 1st get your facts right before comment…..
