After two teasers and one song (Jabra), the theatrical trailer of FAN is out. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, has been directed by Maneesh Sharma – who has previously directed films like ‘Band Baaja Baarat’, ‘Ladies vs Ricky Behl’ and ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’.
For Maneesh it had always been a dream to direct Shah Rukh one day and the film is in a way a tribute to the superstar’s legacy and glorious career.

@ Indicine: I think something wrong went with ur server last night. At around 10 pm I posted my long comment which was my immediate reaction and my first comment on this post after watching the trailer. But it seems u didnt approve it. Dont know why? The comments I made later are there but not the first one. Those were my initial reactions after immediately seeing the trailer So disappointed to seem not getting posted.
Whole day today while I was working the background music of the trailer kept playing in my mind continuously. Just coudnt get it out of my mind and also do not want it to.
The biggest festival this year for me will be on 15th April when the movie releases; not Eid, not Diwali, not Christmas but 15th April because I will be meeting Gaurav Chandana that day.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday denied that one of the two characters he plays in Maneesh Sharma’s film “Fan” bears resemblance to his ‘psycho’ characters in films, “Darr” and “Baazigar”.
“People keep saying that I do the same acting for the past 25 years… even the critics say that, but I have tried that this is different. And Maneesh was very clear about the way this character is played, and I would not take any credit for having done it any differently when people find it different,” said Shah Rukh, at the trailer launch of the film.
“But it is a lot different, the genre maybe the same, of an anti-hero or bad guy, to put it in general compartments, but as a film and as a character, it’s very different from ‘K..K..Kiran’ or ‘Harkar jeetne walo ko baazigar kehte hai’,” he added.
After the teaser of the film and even the anthem track “Jabra Fan” gave the impression that it was a “sweet and simple” kind of film, the trailer might have surprised his fans, considering that this ‘fan’ gets agitated after an unpleasant experience with his favourite star and wants to get even with him.
This obviously drew comparisons to Shah Rukh’s earlier films like “Darr” where he played an obsessive lover and “Baazigar”, where he played a conspiring revenge-driven youngster.
But Shah Rukh clarified that his character is “not psychotic, he’s not a psychopath”. “It’s the story of a very innocent boy, who does not get how he feels life would be, when he meets his biggest star.
“It’s about innocence, it’s about when you’re young, you have stars in your eyes, you feel that every thing or person that you love, will love you that much in return but when sometimes things don’t happen the way you think, you go a bit disturbed,” he said.
Considering Shah Rukh’s ‘king of romance’ tag, it is surprising that no lady love is seen in the trailer. On this, he quipped: “As a matter of fact, it is not that I didn’t get anyone so I’m running behind myself. It’s safer when you love yourself, the fear of rejection is lesser.”
“Fan” is gearing up for release in April.
In Darr my sympathies were with SRK.
But in this movie I think it will be extremely tough to determine whom to support : Gaurav Chandana or Aryan Khanna???
Before this trailer release my top 5 most awaited movies for 2016 were as follows:

I did not get it much after seeing the trailer again. Seems like Daar only that Juhi role is played by d real Srk. That’s my feeling but as I said may be I didn’t get it much.

How to rationalize the crazy response and immense love shown by all the SRK fans after watching this trailer?
The reason I think is ‘Connection’. As the trailer says in the beginning ‘Connection bhi na kamal ki cheez hai, Bas hogaya to hogaya’.
So Gaurav Chandana u and us all are connected with the love of our idols.

Says a FAN of one non-actor who can only make south remakes and immetates regional telugu tamil superstar’s blockbuster films acting by making a same film. Mahesh Babu is still lot more appreciated in POKIRI than Salman in WANTED.
Says a FAN of a flop giver who made a SHAMFUL scene-2-scene copy of DAY & NIGHT with BANG BANG with much poor acting than TOM CRUISE.
THE FAN 1996 is s sports film. Neither DENIRO is in double role nor SNIPES is his own fan. Get over it. It is a wonderful original concept. FAN is about Fandom and fan’s and filmstars world how they perceive each other. It has nothing to do with baseball and signing long term contract with San Francisco Giants being forced by an obsessed fan who’ll go to any length.
FAN trailer is even better than BATMAN vs SUPERMAN DAWN OF JUSTICE so far. It is the best trailer released for 2016 year for a big budget movie.

Its nothung but an unfficial remake of kunal khemu’s superstar, the queeng of multiple unofficial remakes is remaking one more film without any copyrights from original just like she did with legend big b’s classic blockbuster don and remade it unofficially and turned it into supper dupper flops series with torture and completely ruined the legacy of classic don Big B. This will surely be no different.
Loved the trailer it’s beyond everything. There is a reason to call Shah Rukh Khan the King of bollywood and he proves once again. We cannot compare SRK with anything he is above anything and everything.
Billu 2 is on it’s way. mark my words. BAADSHAH OF FLOPS, DISASTERS, NAUTANKI AND OVERCTING WILL BREAK HIS MASTERPIECE BILLU’S RECORD.

FAN trailer – 2/5 may be it will do well at box office, dilwale trailer was better.
As far as box office is returned I will still stick to my original predictions
1. I am expecting it to earn 125 cr plus.
2. Even though movie seems to have great action but still without a typical heroine and songs it is difficult to call it a commercial movie. Don’t remember when I last saw movie of any big star which didn’t have any song. Have heard Jabra song won’t be in the movie.
So the risk factor still remains that if God forbid the content is not appreciated by audience then it won’t have the cushion of a big opening which CE and HNY had.
Anyways the wait for this movie had always been about SRK returning to do powerful and content oriented roles rather than the box office returns.

Sorry !! I had expected more from FAN, the Superstart SRK in the movie is underplaying his part and main protagonist appears to be Gaurav. Moreover SRK (the star) behaving rude with so dedicated FAN, My life My time I wont give you even 5 seconds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I request all SRK fans to stop concerning about YouTube records and better give a Big hit to SRK. Looking at the hype and buzz (SRK fans showing) anything less than 175 crs (India collections) will be disappointing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets wait and see !!!!!!!!!!!
