FAN has shown a significantly big drop in both occupancy and collections on Monday. The average occupancy at centres that we tracked has dropped by around 50-60% from Friday and the collections too is low due to cheaper weekday ticket prices.
The drop is Pan-India. Single-screen business has crashed and multiplexes in cities too have shown bigger than expected drops. And unless the film picks up in the night, the Monday collections are likely to come in the 6-7 crore range.
In fact, ‘The Jungle Book’ is now recording higher percentage occupancy at multiplexes. FAN has significantly higher number of shows than ‘The Jungle Book’, which will divide the business and reduce occupancy, but it cannot be forgotten that FAN is running in its first week and it was the biggest film so far this year.
The evening / night shows could still pick up at multiplexes, like they usually do in major cities, but the occupancy both in the morning and noon is pretty low for the fourth day of a big film like FAN.
Starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, FAN collected Rs 52.35 crore in its first weekend at the domestic (India) box office. The film has been made on a budget of Rs 105 crore, excluding the lead actor’s fee.

Ha ha ha. I am back once again. So what happened to our very own global star? Not gonna cross 100 cr and earn only about 90 cr in year 2016 with 3600 screens, high ticket prises? Ullu lu lulu. While Megastar AK’s off beat niche suspense thriller did 93 cr with only 2000 screens, less ticket prises in 2012 despite suspense getting leaked online. Thats called real Megastardom. If srk was in talaash, i doubt weather it would have crossed even 60 cr life time? Now where is suresh sukhinath subhramanian hiding? Come out and face me you champu.

When will you media stop making excuses. Now that the film has flopped SRK fans and the media who was paid to praise the movie sky high is making excuses that it is a niche film and blah, blah, blah. Just admit that SRK’s popularity is finished. If you claim that it was a niche film, that means that all these while, all the SRK movies that were hits, became hits not because of him but because of the story and songs. You can’t have it both ways. If he wants to take the credit for the hits, he should take the blame for the flops. On the first day of release, I remember many presstitutes and paid media claiming that the film is going to collect 50cr on first day. This was a biggest joke.
That’s disappointing, better luck next time srk, his acting looks mind blowing, but as an akki fan I tasted failure or his good films falling short like s26 and baby but glad airlift got the blockbuster collection.
Also som akki fans are prob bashing srk fans because they were overconfident fan as a niche film will trample airlift which did not fill their expectation and ego. Fan failing doesn’t take away the fact it was a good film if not great and srk character was most challenging so far, airlift though is a better all round film with fabulous acting by akki but have to be honest srk acted so well.
According to Srk fans success of CE is due to Srk and nor Deepika…so let see

After watching tamasha I was disappointed how come this brilliant movie flopped, but after fan’s underperformance I figured out d reason of tamasha failure, its taste of audience, they need only dhinka chika, chikni chameli or kamli kind of songs and bodyguard, dhoom 3, bang bang or ce kind of brainlesses. Tamasha type movies are too good and too deep for the audience. Never ever make like these movies bollywood, ull suffer huge losses, only make brainlesses and make easy money.
