FAN had a huge crash of nearly 86% in its second weekend at the box office. The decline in business is unprecedented for a Shah Rukh Khan film, because even 2011’s Ra One collected Rs 9.65 crore in its second weekend, while FAN has collected just Rs 7.75 crore.
Even Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012 collected Rs 11.03 crore in its second weekend. The comparison itself is unfair because business has grown quite significantly from 2011-2012, what was decent then, is extremely poor now.
The downfall of FAN is not only because the film was completely rejected by moviegoers, but also because of the phenomenal run of The Jungle Book. The third Sunday collections (Rs 8.69 crore) of the Hollywood film was more than the entire second weekend business of FAN.
The Maneesh Sharma directed film has collected Rs 79.25 crore in 10 days, it will finish with net box office collections of around 85-87 crore in India.
For a film made on a budget of Rs 105 crore, the theatrical share from both India and Overseas will be less than Rs 75 crore. The recovery from the Indian market will be around the 45 crore mark.

One flop doesnt affect srk. He will surely bounce back with strong as raees looks exciting and all it needs is a good release period. Fan was good performance wise, but non holiday release and clash with TJB affected a lot. Hope to see him in a great universal appealing movie, it should bring him back.

If Salman is smaller star and did only masala movies, PRDP not good content accept.. But u have to accept that Salman has much bigger fan base than SRK..

And I fail to understand why some ppl call BOI numbers as trade??? BOI is just another website like Indicine, Bollywood Hungama, Koimoi and several others….has anyone in a responsible position in the Bollywood film industry ever said BOI is the parameter of collections?
Some more facts:-
All the websites apart from BOI takes the collections from producers / production houses. This is even the case in Hollywood. The producers have links with distributors who has links with exhibitors (theater owners) from where they gets the DCR (Daily collection report) which is announced by the producer via website / twiiter / Facebook.
Even BOI in their website had said they are mostly taking few centers’ collection in various regions (NCR / Punjab / Kolkata / Mumbai…) and based on that trend they are ‘assuming / projecting’ the overall figures….and some morons (Hrithik haters precisely) believe those are trade figures.
For any common man who has followed BOI reporting style it is crystal clear that they have a personal vendetta against Hrithik from Krrish 3 onwards coz they knew Krrish 3 was going to beat many of Khans’ records. And the trend continued with Bang Bang…and I am 100% sure they will do the same with Mohenjo daro as well…just wait and see.
And people are considering them as trade…LMAO…sore bunch of losers who can’t even type a sentence without grammar / spelling mistakes and 90% of their links in the site won’t work as well…and they are the ones who are ‘TRADE’ as per some morons lol.
