The landing costs of the Ajay Devgn starrer was around Rs 65 crore and the theatrical share at the end of Week 1 will be around the 24 crore mark.
Drishyam has to do well in Week 2 to recover costs and go on to be an average grosser at the box office.

Consider case of drishyam and baby…..baby was presented as high budget action movie…whereas drishyam as a common man story with thriller genre..which is not popular in India….baby had large supporting cast…credibility of a gr8 director…no competition.. Full promotion….drishyam had everything against…only devgn name and little of tabu after haider….now considere opening day….baby 8….5.5 drishyam boi data…this has to be better…and if we take trade figure..the difference is minimal..but u itself are confused u take boi data and trade data according to ur convenience
