Drishyam is quickly emerging as Ajay Devgn’s best appreciated movie since Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010) and Singham (2011), as the film is not only sustaining well at the box office, but has shown growth on Tuesday.
The collections are still on the lower side, but that is only because ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is still going strong in its 3rd weekend and the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali’ has also sustained well in Week 4.
The strong performance of ‘Drishyam’ during the weekdays, will ensure that it retains good number of shows at multiplexes in Week 2. Unfortunately though, Tom Cruise’s Hollywood film ‘Mission Impossible 5’ releases this week and Excel Entertainment’s ‘Bangistan’ is also scheduled to hit screens.
With a better release date, ‘Drishyam’ had the potential to collect much more than it has in the last 5 days at the box office.
It remains to be seen how well the Malayalam remake sustains in its second weekend, because that will decide the fate of the Ajay Devgn starrer.

@Mumbai Indians whatever you say. But Bhojpuri Brothers is only and only Sid’s movie. Sid has way bigger star power than Flopshay. So the credit for Bhojpuri Brothers’ opening will go to only and only Sid. Flopshay is just a side actor in it. Rest will depend on WOM.

I didn’t visit Indicine for a few months early this year. However, I have been visiting the site regularly now. But I don’t comment often because some haklu fans like sss, javed are illogically going overboard and still cherishing his past glories.
