Drishyam is quickly emerging as Ajay Devgn’s best appreciated movie since Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010) and Singham (2011), as the film is not only sustaining well at the box office, but has shown growth on Tuesday.
The collections are still on the lower side, but that is only because ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is still going strong in its 3rd weekend and the Hindi version of ‘Baahubali’ has also sustained well in Week 4.
The strong performance of ‘Drishyam’ during the weekdays, will ensure that it retains good number of shows at multiplexes in Week 2. Unfortunately though, Tom Cruise’s Hollywood film ‘Mission Impossible 5’ releases this week and Excel Entertainment’s ‘Bangistan’ is also scheduled to hit screens.
With a better release date, ‘Drishyam’ had the potential to collect much more than it has in the last 5 days at the box office.
It remains to be seen how well the Malayalam remake sustains in its second weekend, because that will decide the fate of the Ajay Devgn starrer.

Script of DRISHYAM is very well written and thats why it has been remade in each possible language in india, i havent seen others but ajay starer is worth to watch, nobody should miss this one coz a gud film shud b appreciated.
The timing of release isn’t apt for a movie like Drishyam.It should have been released either during September or during the Ramadan period.It deserved at least 2 open weeks.Unfortunately a good movie will eventually turnout to be an above average grosser
