Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale is the 11th highest weekend grosser of all time and the 2nd highest weekend grosser when two films clash at the box office. Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang which released last year with Shahid Kapoor’s Haider, collected Rs 71.72 crore in its first weekend – although it had two holidays, instead of one for Dilwale.
Happy New Year is the highest weekend grosser of all time, followed by Dhoom 3, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Chennai Express.

shahrukh khan is the pride of India. How would you feel if someone comes and tell u to get out of the own country. Though srk was told so he didn’t react as he should. He just said some people are not upto democracy standard. To see people boycot and protesting him, is a shame to all indians who believes in liberalism and freedom. I am from China. And i feel its the worst behaviour of indians. Instead u better go and support him and urge people to watch his movie. Its really an entertaning movie. Worth to watch.

At least Aamir fan should oppose the dirty politics by some morons to boycott dilwale but they support instead it because just jealousy of Srk. So, I have decided after reading so many comments quietly that i will remind all over india when dangal come to theater. I will publicity through mic, protest at jantar mantar/lal qila and everywhere as possible as i can. Finally, I watched crap dilwale on my DVD small screen. Maha crap movies ever I watched this year. Humshakal look like classic in front of dilwale. Dilwale touch competition RGV KI AAG even AAG good in front of dullwale. My rating 1.5 star….! FLOP

The difference between these two films is that Floplwale had nothing new to its story SRK /Kajol together after a long time, whereas BM is bringing something new to the screen plus we have the two of the best actresses in the business. This is a classic and no matter what we want something new. No flying cars etc these type of action scenes are way too far fetched to be realistic. The youth like this sort of action that is unrealistic. Lots of noise with no depth. BM will do well and I personally I never watch SRK films.
The SS are doing well for Dilwale and there is very less for BM in the SS today, what is still working in BM’s favour is the Multiplex space where they have a lead today across the board.
But the centers who were left out will catch up in the days to come as those who want to see will see for sure. During the holiday period when schools will be shut then Dilwale has a bigger chance to catch up on number with BM. So today is an indicator for both but will have to wait for 1-2 days for final state.
