The combined business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani was about the same as what Dhoom 3 collected in its first week at the box office, with one extra holiday for Christmas.
The highest week of all time for the industry was the 2nd week of Baahubali (Hindi), which was Rs 26.38 crore and 1st week of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was Rs 184.65 crore. The combined total of the two films was Rs 211.03 crore in that Eid weekend (17 July – 23 July).

business of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani combined in the first week is less than Bajrangi Bhaijaan with the budgets of both films higher than Bajrangi Bhaijaan. That basically illustrates what has gone wrong this Christmas. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was an Eid week and had a couple of holidays while this was a normal week but the Christmas releases together came on more screens which sort of cancels out the holiday factor.
Every year he gives out two movies, both become huge hits.. This speaks all!
He has the biggest hit of 20th Century..

Every film performed exceptionally well barring Dilwale in the list but D3 is simply unmatchable as the ticket rates were also considerably less than other releases and it outperformed every records in first weekend by a mile when compare to next non holiday weekend dabangg 2 that time.
Whatever still d3 weekend records is unbroken (non holiday ) and lifetime of PK.

While only occassionally or randomly Salman filmms under-perform like Jai Ho, only occassionally or randomly Ram Lal films perform beyond expectations.

Having said all, I wish BM and Dilwale combined beat the lifetime BO collections of BB..
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is Best film among all these .
Dhoom is a successful brand so obviously its performed well .

Directr known for good movies liked by multplex audience. 2 famous lead actress and one young actor who made reasonable good following. Good story combined will all resulting good appreciation at box office. Beating BM by 10 cror will not provide any face saving to srk as he is almst there for 25 yrs … … film industry kisi ki jagair nahi. Bht ae bht gaye per content is there and will be there… i like clashes my films works in clashes. Son of sardar and BM proves that srk have to work in good films and doesnt need to take all for granted.

Dilwale Domestic = 145 expected net = 202 gross + 132 overseas gross (expected) = 334 Crore……….. 9th highest world wide gross in the history of indian cinema with clash (Starwars+ Baji+ Regionals) with protest with hate of competitors.
