Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale has failed to show growth on its second day at the box office. As per early estimates, the film has collected around 20 crore on Friday. Most centres were at around the same level as Friday, while a few others have dropped. The best case seems to be similar collections as Friday.
The other release this week, Bajirao Mastani has shown excellent growth in business. The percentage of growth at most centres that we tracked was around 10-15%. As per estimates, the final collections for Day 2 will be around the 14-15 crore mark. The film is performing exceeding well in the state of Maharastra. At quite a few centres in the state, Bajirao Mastani has surpassed the business of Dilwale. In other states too, the gap has narrowed quite considerably from Friday.
Saturday was always going to be crucial for both films and the trend suggests Bajirao Mastani ‘could’ eventually do what was thought to be impossible before release. The Ranveer Singh – Deepika Padukone starrer was clearly the smaller film here and the underdog could emerge victorious, if it manages to match the business of Dilwale on Sunday.

They said till SRK apologies we will boycott DIlwale. We will force him to apolgise. So now SRK apologised, yes he did. But they were not happy and said He did because he was afraid, just for his movie he is doing drama and blah blah. Bit that is what you guys wanted. These right fringe elements wanted him to apologize and he did. This was a big win for them and they could have celebrated that we forced him to apologise. But No , they started protest more aggressively, breaking cinema halls, photoshopping fake tweets of SRK and even Hafiz saeed, providing wrong info on fb pages and whatsapp groups. Received 100s of such msgs on whatsapp and FB. But this is what I call intolerance now. Is this is what a tolerant Indian should do. Is this the way of protesting. I call it the most disgusting and pathetic way of protesting. THIS IS INTOLERANCE my dear freind NVS. THIS IS INTOLERANCE. These people are calling all those who are watching SRK movies as deshdrohi. NOw watching a movie will decide your patroism. Is this the level we have stooped upto now. I love SRK and I love his movies. I will watch his every movie and i dont need to prove my deshbhakti to some 2rs people who even dont understand what India is and for what principles India stands for.

I wonder if Aamir was in this movie, if the same Friday and Sat figures wud have resulted. I know PK had controversy but I never heard of cinemas being closed plus it was running on high number of screens at high prices.

So after looking at this recent trend, its proved that only content is a king. Overrated stars wont get away everytime and dont get cake every time. Thsi time srk’s aukaat is out and next year the so called biggest star according to his gawaar fans and indicine, will also come to hus aukaat next year when his crap movie lultan will clash with raees and both will be flop if content of both will be crap. Salman hasn’t faced clash, next year only content will save him otherwise sultan to gayo.
How sad for all the SRK fans all the boasting has gone out the window, they are grabbing at straws with regards to the film, it may do well overseas but will flop in India it is its destiny to be a flop. There is no way will it be able to survive being beaten by BM. Pride comes before fall.

Guys surprisingly the bookings for late night shows of BM was way more than Dilwale in NCR leave aside other states..BM was leading by a distance at each theatre by a distance..and that can be the last nail in the coffin..and i am speaking with complete honesty..So I guess its tough tyms ahead for dilwale..
Disappointed..A bit by the collections too but more over the circumstances.. I hope when the holiday period starts till then everything will calm down and Dilwale will perform well in the longer run
