The year comes to an end and this how the box office was bombarded with records…
2015 was a year of making and breaking records, both done proudly by Salman Khan . His films aren’t just releases at the box office. They are storms that leave behind copious amount of money when it subsides making the industry cash rich. This year he alone has given more money then everyone else combined. But there were other records too and so, we bring to you 9 box office records that were the topic of discussion this year.
1. Baahubali hindi dubbed version crosses 100 cr mark!
Baahubali was a South Indian film and till recently, the only interest Bollywood had in South is to rip off some story for the Hindi audience. But Baahubali changed a few things. It is the first South Indian film whose dubbed Hindi version went beyond 100 cr. Till recently even the biggest of movies used to earn only 30 cr with its dubbed version but Baahubali went beyond and made everyone proud.
2. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – Highest opening ever!
Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was supposed to create history and it did. The benchmarks it set will make many films sweat it out at the box office to scale up. The first day collection alone made a new record. With 40.35 cr, it became the highest grossing opener of 2015. Beat that!
3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan -Highest Eid grosser!
Bajrangi Bhaijaan , a Salman Khan film with a human interest story, exploded on the big screen with never seen before numbers. It earned so much that it is the second highest all time grossers after P.K. At a worldwide collection of 600 and more, this is the biggest any Eid release has ever made!
4. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Highest pre-Eid opener
Bajrangi Bhaijaan created yet another record in its wake. It released on July 17 which was a pre-Eid day and even then the film pocketed 27.25 cr which is humongous.
5. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – Fastest 250 crore worldwide gross by any film
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was poised for greats anyway and it disappointed none. The film earned the fastest 250 cr worldwide gross in just four days. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh exclaimed on Twitter, “”#PremRatanDhanPayo India nett: ? 129.77 cr. India gross: ? 191 cr… Overseas: $ 8.9 million [? 59 cr]. Worldwide gross: ? 250 cr. AWESOME!”
6. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – Biggest Diwali grosser ever!
Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (domestic collection – Rs 207.4 crore and gross worldwide collection – Rs 398 crore) crossed the domestic collections of Shah Rukh Khan ’s Happy New Year (Rs 203 crore) and the worldwide collection of HNY (Rs 383 crore) soon enough, to make it the highest grossing Diwali release so far.
7. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – Highest four day total ever
These days Salman Khan is a competition to Salman Khan only. His first release of the year Bajrangi Bhaijaa n created a storm at the box office and had become the first film, to make the fastest 129.65 cr in just four days. But PRDP shattered that and earned 129.77 cr in first four days which is just incredible.
8. Salman Khan – the most profitable actor ever in domestic circuit!
Salman Khan’s fans love him so much that they accept every film of his with arms wide open. They make sure his films earn so much that he doesn’t have to do many films a year and the moment two of his films release in the same year, you can only imagine the box office collection. Same happened this year. Salman Khan alone delivered approximately Rs. 529.22 cr in the domestic box office with Bajrangi Bhaijaan (320.34 cr) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (208.88cr).
9. Salman Khan – The most profitable actor ever with highest worldwide gross
Salman’s films don’t only open majestically here but overseas too. With two movies this year, the actor has touched the 1000 cr worldwide gross mark which is just fascinating!
@hrithik nice lecture dear bt you know what type of failure you talking about dilwale still do nice it should be better but fine after lots of factor involving like clash with positive wom big budget movie less screen protest it doing quite well and just phenomenal in overseas don’t forgot it’s his another entry on 200ww club nd he never failed to achieved 200 cr ww from 2010 which your bhaai failed with ready and jai ho aamir with talash ??? so kuch v kabhi v nhi aise dekha jaye toh tumhare bhaaijan recent time ko chhod diya jaye toh overseas m lagataar failed ho rahe tb tumhe ye lecture applied karna tha
jai ho ke solo realised more screen k baad v domestic & overseas both mai failure ko aaj tak accept nhi kar paaye ho aur chale runchhod daas gyaan batane lol ….

Everytime people say SRK movies are nothing with Deepika…Now Stop this non-sense!!!This time, SRK movie is nothing b/c of Deepika!!! :P
But dilwale gey “Hit” status
But dilwale getting “Hit” status
@Ganesh bhai, last flop was Ra.One and you are comparing a politician that half the indians hate with an actor who half the indians like…The fact, is when he makes masala films, they score good money(Chennai Express, HNY) but when he makes useless masala films, like every other actor they will fail…And nobody wants quality films from him, it is a fact(My Name Is Khan, Swades, etc) Everyone wants romance or drama, or comedy..
Without protest Dilwale can KICK BM…lucky BHANSALI THAT TYM…
@SUSH your comparison was good until you came to the part that South Africa is afraid to play with India which is simply not true..It will be the same thing again that india will be overconfident and SA will win(Abut cricket not not movies)
@HAMZA KHAN, just like Dilwale failed to beat the 6 years old Dabang collections?? PRDP and KICK collections were very close to Chennai Express with Kick surpassing it,only problem is that SRK fans were making fun of Salman at PRDP release and now Dilwale collecting at least 50 Crores less!!!
@sss Correct me if I am wrong, but you are saying that people who liked Dilwale are actually the intellectual ones, right? Just tell me on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 pertaining to the highest degree, how big of a moron you are?
@sss and how exactly do you know that the upcoming movies will be classy? Have you seen any of them by chance?
When will srk’s retard fans grow up and move on with time and accept the fact that srk is no longer a big star. He is has been now just like Rajesh khanna. He no longer possesses the stardom which every big superstar has to have. Even hrithik’s films have more buzz than his films. And stop giving excuses about clash with so called critically acclaimed movie because hrithik’s bang bang also clashed with masterpiece haider. Still bang bang earned way more than haider both in India and overseas and that also in October without eid diwali or Christmas advantage. So it proves that hrithik is also bigger than srk.
All srk haters bark chooooooooo
So BM exceeded all the prediction and estimation of this clashing.Beating Dilwale on 10th day at the boxoffice. Very well deserved victory.
Finally got a chance to watch BM on Saturday. BM wasn’t in my list for the movies I want to watch this year, I definitely have sympathy for Bhansali who was forced by every one in trade to avert the clash but the brilliant trailer excited to watch but due to family casualty couldn’t watched in first weekend.
I was slightly hasitated to watch the movie when I selected Single screen to watch the flick. There were hardly 20-25% audience in the theatre. But must say what a brilliant experience of watching the film.
The film is undoubtedly the best film of the year for me, from story to screenplay, direction, acting, music and background score as well as cinematography all were top class. The film took me in the era of Mughlas-Marathas period. Brilliant sets were icing on the cake.
Ranveer singh has delivered performance to his lifetime, deserves every single award this year for best actor. He has able to show every aspect of Bajirao life. His expressions, body language, dialogue delivery all were top notch. Deepika once again delivered a power packed performance after Piku, she is looking extremely gorgeous and performed equally well. Priyanka was also superb with Kashibai act. All the other supporting cast did their act superbly.
First half of the film is flawaless, not a single dull moment and story moves quickly. Second half start with slow note for first 10min but after than it got the required pace and reached the extremely sad and painful climax which was brilliantly written and wonderfully executed by all the cast.
No word is enough to describe SLB direction, most of the time we see that Dream projects were got bombed at box office but SLB changed everything with this film, his direction was outstanding. He able to extract best of the performance from entire crew with each department barring 1-2songs. Background music is outstanding and adds to drama well.
I have very high expectation with the film after watching the trailer, and the film met all my expectation. This is best film for me this year surpassing Bahubali, as not only the film is brilliantly made but also touched the heart.
4.5/5 from my side, every person in the theatre liked the film, they were calm and unmoved till the films ends. Never expected this kind of reaction of Single Screen audiences with this kind of film.
P.S.- Those who thinks that I rated BM higher just because it clash with dilwale after reading my review, I want to clarify that I have given unbiased review and I literally loved the film.
Looks who entered. Google boy @sem, as usual active on dec-Jan time and then disappeared. Now again showing his idiocy of writing imaginary conversation of Salman-Aamir etc. Bhai rehne de Kuch nahi hoga isse.Your king failed again on Christmas after Don 2. Hoping to see again in Christmas 2016 when Dangal releases.
I have noticed many users responded to comment of our complan boy@sss. I want to say all of them what else you can expect from a person whose favorite patriotic movie is Happy new year. Guys please stay away from this retarts comment, he don’t know what he writes and why he writes.
@Noemi comparing BM with Haidar indicates you don’t have any knowledge about films. Haidar is very small film with a budget of 35cr n 1300screen release where BM budget is 125cr with 3050screen release
Clash , protests… So much negativity, Boycott campaign… Still DILWALE is doing good at Box Office… Yes this is stardom of SRK.
@SSS, O Yaar, I wanna see you once in my lifetime. You are a case study itself. A serious case of mental disorder!
If you are too busy to correctly type words or write your English grammartically, how do you manage to write such lengthy pieces of shit everytime? Haan????
Ok, India is an illiterate country. That’s why they don’t watch/like the classic films like Dhobiwale. So, ask your king to go Hollywood and make movies over there. Every film of his will become a Blockbuster then.
Ok. Babaji is a Lukkha..So is every non-Ram Lal fan.

Aab Khush???
Meherbani Karke Aur Pareshani Karna Chod Do….
Meanwhile watched Dilwale too yesterday. Wasn’t expected too much after the review came and the way film performed in Indian market.
Dilwale is a time pass entertainer, strictly one time watch. Film is equally decent in both parts. Though I loved the comedy portions which includes Varun dhawan-Varun sharma and others. Srk-Kajol love story is not much convincing though both looking great with each other even in this film. The plot is simple with slight twist that Kajol was cheating srk initially, except that everything falls flat and predictable. Songs were good.
Performance wise Both SRK-kajol were good, they were brilliant in some scenes and preety mediocre in some other scenes, lacked consistency. Kriti was alright and looking preety. Varun dhwan was superb in comedy scenes but was over the top throughout the film specially in emotional scenes, need to work hard on emotional scenes though he was definitely better in Badlapur in emotion scenes. Varun sharma,Johnny lever and Sanhay mishra were superb. Boman Irani is wasted again. The last action scenes outside of church is unnecessary and irritates so as boman performance. Rest cast are decent.
Ramlal-Pogo story definitely the best part in comedy scenes.
Rohit shetty was preety good as director but he failed big time in comedy-action scenes, looking very repetitive though in romantic scenes he was alright. Need to change his approach in unnecessary car flying scenes and repetitive punches.
Overall Dilwale a time pass film nothing to shout for.
Better than HNY and way below the CE. 2.5/5 from my side.
As far as BO, I think it collected what it actually deserves, with solo release it can collect close to 200cr or may be more. Srk intolerance comment harmed the collection around 10 cr in weekend but after that its the nothing new type of content who stopped his run especially when you have a brilliant film like BM in competition.
Though srk-kajol charm collecting huge in overseas, let’s see will it surpass srk highest grosser in overseas which also starred srk-kajol Mnik.
@SSS, God will not forgive one if he/she disrespects SRK. Could you kindly explain me why? Just so curious!
#RamLalKiJaiHo
@sss : Just tell me one thing why Chak De India is not big success as even KANK in overseas ? Where was your King’s power ??
Am thoroughly enjoying this box office clash caused by the so-called ‘box office clash king’. God bless indicine for these wonderful updates. It feels joyful to know that your prediction for this crapwale is coming true and forget domestic 145 crore, Red chilles isn’t seeing 140 crorees at this rate. Ha ha ha. SRKians, stop ur noise here and help your king by forcefully buying movie tickets and watching his crap. If not, the outcome of this one will be worse than that of Raone.
And Red Chilles should please make their movie budget constant, and stop fluctuating from 110 crorees to 100 crores. And now I hear it’s 75 crores. Ha ha ha. The clash king is damned:
After competing with Ranveer Singh and losing, SRK should start clashing with Ranbir Kapoor, Tushar Kapoor, or even Abhishek Bachchan. Ha ha ha. 140 crorees now look slim, 150 crore will be impossible when 160 crore is a given for a anorak Mastani. Crapwale is not even showing in cinemas in Nigeria, only Bajirao Mastani and it’s said that a certain SRK is ‘king of Bollywood’. How is that possible? I still wonder
@indicine why are you allowing Abdul Rahman to refer to Salman as a criminal when you posted that such comments will be deleted.
I think it maybe time for his lawyer to step in and deal with the issue. Please ensure that these comments are deleted
Hey ? you guys just discovered that #sss is an escapee from a mental asylum and is not right in his head. Also he is dyslexic that why he cannot face reality, he cannot differentiate between facts and fiction. This is why he will not accept the truth.
Since @sss likes to predict the future of SRK films even before they are finished filming, I suggest that he goes to Bollywoodlife.com and see what has been predicted for the future of SRK films 2016, it’s predicted that his films would not be successful, he will have problems in his marriage and relationship and also to avoid driving (I say drunk) during certain months etc etc
So @ss you should accept these predictions since you are so adamant. BTW he predicted another successful year for Salman.
Dilwale budget 120 crs without srk fees…if srk fee 60cr + 120= 180, so dilwale budget 180 Cr + or more .. Are it’s true ?
