Dilwale was way below par at the box office on Friday, as the film collected Rs 8.1 crore on its 8th day which was a big holiday for Christmas. The film has collected Rs 110.76 crore so far and by the end of the 2nd weekend, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer should be around the 123 crore range.
As far as the domestic business is concerned, the trend of the film has been poor. For most Rohit Shetty films, the family audience and children do come out in big numbers, but that hasn’t been the case with Dilwale.
Even though the hold during the weekdays was strong, Bajirao Mastani was outperforming Dilwale at multiplexes. This resulted in exhibitors allotting fewer shows and screens in Week 2.
The clash was expected to generate big numbers for the industry, but the combined collections of both Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale on Christmas day was Rs 20.36 crore, which is lower than the Christmas holiday collections of PK last year Rs 27.55 crore.
In fact, even when the collections of Star Wars is added to the total, it still falls short of PK and even the Christmas collections of Dhoom 3 – Rs 25.52 crore.

Even after performing very well during weekdays Dilwale lost so much screens and decrement in no of shows..seems that their is very big conspiracy against dilwale and SRK
The difference is too much.both films fell short if expectations, both are Average movies.but DILWALE’S negativity becomes positive for bm,that’s all.
@indicine,till now you didn’t answered to out question regarding of adding SRK’S FEES in DILWALE’S budget,even though HE is the producer of the movie.

Srk fans tried everything from deliberately decreasing imdb rating and BookMyShow rating of bajirao and are now saying that dilwale is suffering from negativity,their is nothing like negativity only content is what matters.
Now even imdb rating is 7.2 from 5.1 and dilawle which was 8.2 is now down to 6.0
Please do not try to bring down any film like this is my humble request to Srk fans cause any way they wont succeed.

Am I the only one who thinks that SRK is taking his fans for granted?
I mean seriously, he has been churning out shitty films one after the other. His contemporaries going uphill (atleast not being repetitive) in terms of the quality of their movies and he, being one of the most popular actor in the world has been promoting and delivering nonsensical movies constantly. It has been 5 years since his masterpiece MNIK, and we’re still waiting for a movie of his calibre.

At the level SRK is now, he should focus on content rich movies not cheap masala entertainer. Hope he takes this as a lesson. Kuch bhi bakwaas movie karo aur sirf naam se movie bikegi…this is luckily not the case any more. Good trend.
It was expected with very low screens nd shows. Still good collections. It will still be more than150 crores verdict will be hit. Dilwale is an all time blockbuster in overseas. Wordwide collections of dilwale wil be more than 100 crore ahead of BM. So Dilwale is the winner wordwide. Srk rules bollywood. Better luck next time haters. You r born to see srk winning everything.

Pre-release, expectations are sky high seeing rohit, srk-kajol Jodi, youths heartthrobs varun-kriti, music maestro pritam, chartbuster song and promotions. After release, all were illusions except songs. After Salman’s tremendous success since 2010, SRK has been counting box office record but failing to catch Salman’s, (JTHJ hit, Ra one average(if Ra one is a hit, JAI HO is a super hit), C.E atbb and Dilwale average/hit).

@Akey, who are you blaming for the lower screen count in Week 2? If the competition performs better during weekdays in Week 1, it will lose screens. So blaming screen count after first week makes no sense whatsoever, if Dilwale had performed better than BM, it would have retained most of its shows and screens.
