Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 has emerged as the biggest money-spinner of all time – not just at the domestic box office, but also in the overseas markets where it has beaten Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express.
In India, the film showed little or no drop on Saturday which is simply phenomenal considering the fact that the Friday opening was huge. Most big films tend to show drops on Day 2, especially at single-screens. But with Dhoom 3, the drop was negligible. In fact, quite a few centres put up better numbers on Saturday.
Dhoom 3 Saturday Collections
The film has collected around Rs 71 crore in 2 days (including all versions) and looking at the early morning trends on Sunday (packed houses all over) the film is certain to cross the 100 crore mark this evening. Dhoom 3 is also likely to be the first film to do business in excess of 40 crore on a single day.
First weekend business could touch 110 crore, including the dubbed versions. Tuesday is a holiday in parts of the country and Wednesday is a national holiday for Christmas.
However, the word-of-mouth is mixed. While some have absolutely loved the film for its action sequences, Aamir’s performance and Katrina’s dance moves.. the reports coming in from circuits like Mysore and even from a few mass-circuits is extremely mixed, as expectations of strong content is unrealistically high when it comes to Aamir Khan films.
Unless there is a massive drop in business on Monday, Dhoom 3 is set to emerge as the highest grosser of all time. And while doing so, the film should also break all the various records held by Chennai Express and Krrish 3.

@sakhi rawant aka rakhi sawant wannabe + @mega liar megha + @g@y1- you guys can go and marvel once again at all those collections and articles that praised Chennai Depress and gave out imaginery tales of hyper collections for all I care. Figures given out by UTV and articles pre checked by Red Chillies before release are more reliable according to you but if we all reluctantly agree on believing BOI ONLY then both WOM is mixed to positive and collections are stated as being higher than even Chaddi Express. FACT- the site all lungiwalas thrashed after EID is giving lower figures for D3 than ACTUALS but still thats higher than figures it gave for Crappy Express.
Keep burning haterz and bring on more lame excuses and false propaganda but truth is India has been bowled over by Dhoom 3’s magic this Christmas. ;-)

My review of Dhoom 3.
In my unbiased impartial and most humblest of opinion I would categorically state that D3 is atleast 5 times better than crappy express, 3 times better than Dhoom 2 and 30% more superior than the very well made ‘Rohit 3’. (3rd installment of the Krrish series)
Biggest positive was getting a strip tease of Katrina in a song format (great idea Aditya and Victora special kudos guys) for what seemed like 5 pleasurable hours in the movie… My word that girl can now dance ( ;-) ;-) ) GOOD. Acting needs more attention but the sexist pig in me thinks who cares when you look that good and dance that well…! ;-)
Only negative was (SPOILER ALERT) Uday and Abhishek still being in one piece….! My dream was to see one of these undeserving actors (being greedy would be both) getting maybe a glorious death at the hands of Ace Khan but nevermind as Salman may give them a fitting and just Dabanng style death in the next installment inshaallah. ;-)
Aamir roxXxXx and Victor was the real star here after Tashan fiasco plus Kat replaces Bebo at the top of my Chamions League for the time being. :-)

Aamir is an amazing star and versatile actor its nobody can dare to refuse, Dhoom 3 is entertaining it will surely create 300cr club, aamir rocking in dual role for the first time.. But i find hrthik’s perfrmance was ahead than khan’.. D2 ws btr than D3.. Watch only for aamir..

@navin agree bro the star of D3 is undoubtedly Victor- the director, and kudos to him for giving as thrilling experience in the cinema, and for this credit also goes to Aditya chopra who has guts and potential to find talent, he given opportunity to Victor for biggest film of YRF yet D3 in the hand of an unsuccessful director, In Aamir words- “Jo duniya to namumkin lage wohi waqt hota hai kuch kar dikhane ka” Victor has done the same. Kudos to him.

1- Aamir misfit in the role.
2. Aamir is tingu,dward,funny expression.
3. Abhishek & uday is awful, no one love the movie.
4. Director is Flop, he can’t give justice.

6. Trailer and teaser are crap, interestingly trailer watched by 14.7million time with 86.5% people liked. & teaser watched close to 14 million and 83% people loved it, but for haters these 8.3% & 86% means people thrashed the trailer and response is extremely negative.

I have to say except for ‘hrithik loverboy’ every other hro fan was bashing Aamir intentionally or unintentionally but now they know deep down that Dhoom 3 has made Dhoom 2 look amateurish…! But to them I would say that back in 2006 we all thought Dhoom 2 was super hot, super cool and super stylish for that era/ time. Times have changed and Im sure Dhoom 4 with Salman in afew years will be even cooler but respect should be given when due.
I begrudgingly congratulated all lungiwalas after chennai depress broke every hourly record of everyday this Eid and I too congratulated ‘Rohit 3’ when it broke all records this Diwali. Records come and go but we all know that Crappy Express was definitely undeserving of holding the title of Highest Grosser Off All Time. That film not only insulted Eid weekend, Rajnikanth fans, people of Chennai, Thakur of Sholay but it also belittled the achievements of films like Gadar, HAHK, Sholay and 3 idiots who were all deserving of that prestigious title. Aamirs D3 will be a deserved Record Holder this time round. ;-)
