Deepika thanks Rajnikanth and Soundarya for Kochadaiiyaan

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone was in Chennai on Sunday for the music launch of her debut Tamil film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’. She thanked Rajnikanth, his wife Lata and daughter Soundarya (also the director of the film), for the opportunity to act in the film and also for treating her like their own daughter.

“Firstly, I would like to thank Soundarya for this experience. I would call ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ not just a film, it was an experience. Thank you for considering me for this film, Soundarya, and for believing in all of us. I would like to congratulate you for your courage to make this film,” Deepika said.

She then went on to thank Rajnikanth and his wife

“Thank you Rajini sir and aunty (Lata Rajinikanth) for being my home away from home and treat me like your own daughter every time I was here to shoot. This is my debut in Tamil industry and I hope all of you will enjoy the experience as much as I did”

‘Kochadaiiyaan’ is the directorial debut of Rajnikanth’s daugther Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin. It is India’s first motion capture photo realistic 3D animated film.

The film releases in theatres on April 11th.
