‘Dear Zindagi’ has collected Rs 8.75 crore on its opening day at the box office, making it the 14th highest opening day of 2016. The film is lower than Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro and ahead of films like Ki and Ka.
Released on 1200 screens, ‘Dear Zindagi’ has managed a fairly good opening total inspite of being a niche film, holding appeal only towards a small section of the audience in metro cities. Most of the business has come from these 4-5 cities, with others taking a better than expected opening due to Shah Rukh Khan’s presence.
In comparison, the opening day is higher than Deepika Padukone’s Piku – which collected 5.7 crore on Day 1. It’s at around the same level as ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

The collection is very good. SRK – the one we loved and seen him growing as an ‘actor’ – is awakening. Fan, Dear Zindagi and Raees is like striking the gold for Sharukh Khan.
Anand L Rai words was worth noting when he quotes “I want my actors to discover something within themselves.”
So we request Srk to take time for Anand L Rai’s movie and make the best out of it.

Dear Zindegi priduce Bolywood a new era. In todays bolywood we had various thaughtful movie. But DZ shown how to speak thaughtful yet in simple manner. And both Aila ans Sharukh Khan act splended. Sharukh we want such type of acting more and more from you.

I really don’t understand this, according to Kabadiwala’s and Dabbawala’s, Haklu have 3.7 Billion fans, and before release of Dear Dadaji they all are claiming that they will watch Dear Dadaji only for Srk, now the 1st day collection of movie is 8.5cr, out of which 4cr is because of Alia (according to Indicine), so Haklu presence only add 4cr extra, so it clears that his fans only barks on internet but never watch his movie in theater……If Haklu have such fans then why he need enemy……LOL
