Aamir Khan’s Dangal has recorded the second highest first week collections of all-time, ahead of all other films except the first week business of Salman Khan’s Sultan which released earlier this year.
Sultan is the only film to record more than 200 crore in the first week itself, but the film had the advantage of an extended 5-day weekend including 2 holidays for Eid and Sunday.
Dangal on the other hand, had just one major holiday – which was for both Christmas and Sunday.
The Top 5 is dominated by Salman and Aamir, each of their last 3 films have managed to make it to the Top 5.
This year, 7 films have managed to make it to the all-time Top 30 list.

Dangal will definitely cross 300cr mark and will beat Bajranghi Bhaijaan Lifetime collection! But the Question is: Can it break Pk record as it has competion from Ok Jaanu in its 4th Week(Minimal damage) and Raees and Kaabil in its 6th Week. I think it can if the trend is better in the 2ns and 3rd Week!!!

Dangal fans should forget about 300 crore
It’s not fair to put that way the collection of Dangal. It’s actually the highest 1st week grosser compare to Sultan. If you count in day wise then Sultan the second best. Count on collection on first 7 days. Sultan was release on Wednesday. So if you add another 2 day collection it will surpass Sultan. Minimum 196cr + 39cr (assume on Friday 18.4+20.6)= 235cr which is very huge compare to Sultan. So, according to my calculation Dangal is the winner!!!!!!
@Raj Roshanh, the first 7 day collections of Sultan was 208 crore.
But for me Dangal at 1st position bcoz there was no national holiday in week days it had collect 90.53 cr between monday to thursday it will be going to very difficult to break dis record in future

Dangal has beaten both D3 (franchise) and PK (Raju Hirani) with a Christmas period benefitted first week with Single holiday. Haters what you say. The only excuse left is the Christmas period, his next Thugs of Hindostan will beat that myth too.
